Now it’s our turn to decide what we refuse to carry forward. Let’s get to work.

Neptune is also the planet of myth-making; Saturn also represents material reality. At moments like this, new myths are born, not as ideals, but as acts of courage {Aries}. Our Ancestors were once asked to imagine a different world because the existing one could no longer hold.

We’re also in a Universal 1 Year in Numerology, which is the beginning of a new 9-year-cycle. Even more, the year of the Fire Horse begins on February 17th, the same day as the first eclipse of the year: a solar eclipse in Aquarius. This is just one of those years. Nothing returns to how it was.

Neptune dissolves what has outlived its meaning. Saturn represents structure / authority. When they come together, systems already under strain begin to unravel. We’ve seen this before and we’re seeing it again. Periods of structural collapse often coincide with the rise of authoritarianism.

In a few more weeks, Saturn and Neptune will meet at 0° Aries on February 20th. The last time they aligned was in 1989, the year the Berlin Wall fell.

Just a heads up: Neptune enters Aries for good today. The last time Neptune entered Aries in this way was on April 13th, 1861, the day after the American Civil War began. 🧵

That rage you feel is sacred. Honor it. We’re in the fight of our lives and honestly we have been for some time now. Don’t allow yourself to go numb. Don’t look away. None of this shit is normal.

As the masks continue to fall and the world reveals itself more clearly, resist the pull toward cynicism. The oppressor depends on our hopelessness to survive. Surround yourself with people who not only believe a better world is possible, but who are building it within every aspect of their lives.

As Mercury stations direct today in Leo, it’s a cosmic reminder that the heart demands action. The killings of Palestinian journalists illuminates the fact that truth-tellers are on the front lines of liberation, and we must guard their legacy by refusing to let the truth be buried.

Overwhelmed lately by the implications of what it means to live on a planet where the vast majority of us want these multiple genocides to end and we seemingly can’t do a fucking thing to stop them.

Jonathan Louis Dent @jonathanldent.bsky.social · 25/06/2025

It's no coincidence that Zohran Mamdani won the Democratic Mayoral primary on a Jupiter cazimi day. A shift is underway. Let today's New Moon in Cancer remind you of this sacred truth: there are far more people who care deeply for this world than those who seek to destroy it. Believe.

It’s getting harder and harder to read astrological takes that don’t acknowledge the genocide(s) happening around the world. Not interested in reading about what signs will be “thriving” for the next couple of months. People are being exterminated. Grow up.

It’s an interesting experience to be living in a world that’s getting uglier by the day but also to be walking a spiritual path that’s becoming more beautiful with each passing day.

Venus and Mercury both currently retrograde in Aries is reminding us that our relationship to our own self really does set the tone for all other relationships in our lives. If you’ve been craving more meaningful connections, try raising the bar in how you’re treating yourself.

To the healers, empaths, creatives, revolutionaries, spiritualists: We chose to be alive at this moment. Don't be daunted by the erratic nature of these current times. Tap into your medicine and offer it to everyone in your orbit. We will win and colonialism will fall. Believe it.

I hope today’s Spring Equinox gives us the courage to keep fighting for the liberation of all people. I hope we can use the anger and grief within us as sacred fuel to push back against colonial tyranny. May this Aries season bless our inner-warriors as we set fire to the fuckery. Asé

If you’re wondering why things feel so chaotic right now, it’s because both Venus and Mercury are retrograde in Aries, and we’re building towards a Solar eclipse in Aries on March 29th. Oh, and Neptune will enter Aries for the first time in 150 years on March 30th. Whew.

Mercury goes retrograde in Aries today amidst eclipse season. It’s a good time to listen more and speak less and let the clowns reveal themselves.

The American Civil War began on April 12th, 1861. The following day, Neptune entered into Aries where it stayed until 1875. At the end of this month - on March 30th - Neptune will enter Aries again for the first time in 150 years. Do with this information what you will.

…with personal planets in the 15-19 degree range of the cardinal signs {Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn}, you’ve already been and will continue to feel Mars’ influence over these next few weeks. My advice to all and especially those with planets/ angles near those degrees: be kind to yourself….

If you have a spiritual practice these days, or faith in a higher power, or rituals that ground you, or an Ancestral veneration practice, or simply the ability to see the Divine in all things, I hope you know how rich you are. To have any of these things right now is profound medicine.

This upcoming Leo Full Moon on Wednesday is for the folks out there who have been super stressed about money / finances / resources. This Full Moon will be activating those areas for us and by activating I mean giving us an opportunity to shift / transmute scarcity mindsets. More to come later.

Today’s the 1st New Moon of 2025 and also the first day of classes at Hampshire college for the spring semester. Guess what class I’ll start teaching today? “Performance, Ritual and Astrology” Life is really something.

Jonathan Louis Dent @jonathanldent.bsky.social · 28/01/2025

All that to say, I hope this New Moon brings the needed revelations into your consciousness so that you can be the community member we need right now. Because we need all hands on deck. Sending my Love.

It was inspiring to say the least and it was a community that was being held by elders that had no phones. They weren’t doom-scrolling. They were simply present and alive and completely invested that each member of the community lived up to their own greatest potentials.

1101

Jonathan Louis Dent @jonathanldent.bsky.social · 28/01/2025

I was moved and blown away by how they functioned as a community: it was as if every member knew their role and that individual self-knowledge helped create this communal organism that moved and breathed together in complete sync.

141

Jonathan Louis Dent @jonathanldent.bsky.social · 28/01/2025

These new connections are of course incredible, but I think we run the risk of thinking that that’s the only way to connect. A few days ago, I returned from spending time with a very special community in Abeokuta, Nigeria for 11 days.

151

Jonathan Louis Dent @jonathanldent.bsky.social · 28/01/2025

This is a slippery slope to unpack because just in the last 18 months alone, technology and social media has been a bridge that’s connected so many of us who have been appalled by the genocides happening around the world.
