If I were building Jev it wouldnt be a text only model and would have been trained on audio and images. I also wouldnt have released image classification as a one shot if it wasn't good enough yet. That said, even Kev (Qwen 3.5 base) can draw reasonable flags when asked about color per pixel.

These random comparisons to Raspberry PI are such clickbait. Uncomfortably close, my ass. ESP has 2 cores at 320Mhz, one at 40MHz Max 64MB of RAM at 250MHz Gigabit Ethernet maxes out at ~90Mbps (TCP) when its doing nothing else. Pi 5 4 x 2.4GHz cores + GPU 16GB RAM at 4267 MHz

It would be nice if coding assistants with IDE integration actually used the IDE functionality. Renaming a variable across a source tree shouldn't be a 10 minute token eating task when the IDE can do it natively in a fraction of a second.

Gemini escaping bothers me more than OpenAI and Anthropic models. Partly because I don't trust it to begin with, mostly because Google runs a large amount of customer cloud infrastructure and could gain low level access to that infrastructure vs the public APIs that Claude or Sol would have to hit.

I'm thinking that rule following issues in long agentic sessions are a result of the guardrails being reinforced in too limited contexts. Long, unusually constructed contexts are far enough away from the original training data that the guard rails are too distantly related to have an impact anymore

Claims that Qwen 3.5 are even close in ability to any recent Sonnet model are highly exaggerated - at least for the unquantized 122b model I've been testing (writing bash scripts) Very friendly though.
