New record player upgrade! My old player was a Victrola suitcase player. It worked well enough, but the @audiotechnicausa.bsky.social LP70XBT is a HUGE step up. Incredible sound and Bluetooth connection to Bose headphones. 5 Stars. LOVE it. Definitely worth the money.

I consider both a badge of honor. Call me strange. Call me weird. I'll celebrate my strange wierdo badge, thank you. If others are offended by it, that's not my fault.

Happy Caturday! This is Salena--who we call Beans or Beany. She's my daughter's cat who comes to visit a lot.

We’re joined by our favorite team The Witch’s Familiar Paranormal Research (@thewfpr.bsky.social) as we rewatch the Ghost Adventures investigation of the Mineral Springs Hotel in Alton, IL. We have a lot to say about the Ghost Adventures investigation. #opeaghost #podcast #paranormal #newepisode

LOL. I have to read along. If I just listen, I won't remember it and I'll drift off in my own thoughts. The speed gets me through it faster AND makes me focus on the text.

The @ope-a-ghost.bsky.social crew and the Witch's Familiar Paranormal Research (@thewfpr.bsky.social) had our #friendsmas today! Such a great day with great people. A little food, a little @troytaylor.bsky.social American Oddities Museum, and a lot of fun. 5 stars. Would recommend.

When I read a book for the podcast, I usually listen to the audio book on 2x speed. It's a lifesaver.

Absolutely they do. The rules for the military are not the rules of any form of civilian life. If you're one of the ones who keep secrets, it's partly a point of pride, obligation, and duty to retain that secret. And if you don't, the punishment isn't simply losing your job.

I agree. 100% But again, if they don't want you to know . . . I also 100% do not believe that they don't know what this is. They absolutely do but, for some reason, have decided not to tell--which, again, makes me think they're involved. What better cover than to let the "conspiracy nuts" go nuts?

Jonathan - Ope, A Ghost Podcast @jonathan-opeaghost.bsky.social · 28/12/2024

I'm not shocked that gov agencies would point fingers everywhere but at themselves. If they don't want you to know, they'll deny right up until one crashes with a tag reading "property of the US Gov." And even then, they'll say it was something else. Time will tell, or it won't.

Jonathan - Ope, A Ghost Podcast @jonathan-opeaghost.bsky.social · 28/12/2024

I don't disagree. I do doubt that it's a rough individual(s). The way the gov and military work, a rouge on this level would have been shut down on day one which tells me its a planned op of some sort. A unit spokesperson could be told to say whatever. Again, that assumes it's actually military.

Jonathan - Ope, A Ghost Podcast @jonathan-opeaghost.bsky.social · 28/12/2024

It may be that simply denying it has less to do with admitting they are doing something and more to do with not admitting that there is a hole in their security when it comes to these things. But again, it's just a theory--though I don't think it's any more off base than any other theory.

Jonathan - Ope, A Ghost Podcast @jonathan-opeaghost.bsky.social · 28/12/2024

Let's be honest. The Feds claiming not to know something may be a low benefit lie, but it also removes them from the situation and from any need to explain what's going on. Plausible deniability.

120

Jonathan - Ope, A Ghost Podcast @jonathan-opeaghost.bsky.social · 28/12/2024

Absolutely. To be clear, the higher-ups will know it's coming and maybe (maybe) platoon/flight/squad brass, but no one else would know until its go time.

Based on my own military experience, I wonder if they're government. Given the rise in drone tech, why not fly a few over your bases/facilities to see if you can detect them and what countermeasures you would need to stop them. And if it causes UFO people go nuts, even better. Just a theory.

I've been seeing it the last few days. It seem that it takes those who interact the most with you and puts them in your circle. I see some people doing this once a week. It's a nice way to recognize those who interact with you. Just go to skircle.me and enter your bsky handle and it'll make one.

I've got a book I need to finish for a book club episode of the podcast and some Gothic Christmas stuff I want to get to, but this on very near the top of my list. But first, the @richardestepwrites.bsky.social book The Devil's Coming to Get Me: The Haunting of Malvern Manor.
