Not a single mentioning of PBMs… They drive prices up as the drugs they choose are based on the discounts offered. So Pharma puts the price higher, to give bigger discounts, but those without insurance are left with the inflated price. Other countries do not have PBMs.

russia called a ceasefire and Ukraine kept it. Now Ukraine and partners have called a 30 days ceasefire. If russia doesn't keep it, they send the signal to Trump that they don't want peace. Western partners and USA are preparing grave santions if this happens. I think it was the smarter move.

Im not so sure. Cagrisema offered 22,7% on average and many didn’t even take the highest dosage as they were contempt. I think it was 30% who lost more than 25%. And the weightloss hadn’t stopped by the time the trial did.

I haven’t read about any doctors wanting to prescribe Eli Lilly products based on evidence of Semaglutid. On the contrary, the evidence of benefits for Semaglutid is often mentioned as an advantage for Novo Nordisk. But thanks for the discussion. It wasn’t possible to reply in the other thread

It’s not really one or the other. The markets is huge and Novo has better market penetration in big parts of the world. Why many will just stick to the injection. Novo doesn’t believe a pill with be a gamechanger based on their own experience with diabetes. But we will see 🙂

That aren’t worth it? Okay… My uncle lost about 20 kgs with it. One shouldn’t eat 6 hours prior and 30 minutes after. Meaning, you take it in the morning, take a shower and then eat breakfast. That’s simple and tolerable. And normal for many pills.

The side effects aren’t worse than with Wegovy which, as you know, is taken by many. Eli Lilly’s drugs also have side effects. And for those who says Zepbound is better than Wegovy, Novo will soon introduce Wegovy in 7,2 mg which offers the same weight loss as Zepbound.

But do these patients actually know how simple the injection is? Or do they picture a drug addict with a long needle and blue marks on the skin? Look how many are using Semaglutid injections instead of the rybelsus pill. Theres s point in regards to cold storage. But again; it’s a weekly shot.

Theory and evidence is not the same. The list of proven benefits of Semaglutid is long. Doctors will look at this. Benefits in regards to addictions and Alzheimer’s are also very likely but yet to be researched more.

And in regards to the future pipeline, Novo Nordisk has and will continue to have the broader pipeline. They can offer the right drug for each patient. Cagrisema and Amylin are both very promising drugs. Despite analytics criticizing Cagrisema based on their superficial understanding.

It’s normal with oral treatments. However, people are overestimating the importance of a pill. Based on how few patients choose a pill over injection in diabetes. I’d rather do a weekly injection rather than a daily pill. The needle is tiny and short. There’s nothing to it.

Inferior product? Semaglutid has a long list of documented health benefits including lower risk of cardiovascular diseases. Orforglipron does not. Nor is it believed to offer a bigger weightloss than a Semaglutid pill. Not eating for half an hour after taking the pill; people are I’ll survive.

Novo Nordisk certainly wouldn’t mind that there weren’t any PBMs in America. But that’s on Americans, not a Danish company. Novo is competing with other companies and has to compete in the environment given to them. Watch the senate hearing with the CEO. He’s not positive in regards to PBMs.
