iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

We're cooked, folks. Misinformation, disinformation, dwindling education standards, bigotry, division, and amplification of violent rhetoric have cost us our sensibility. I truly have no idea how we find it. Just awful times that are going to follow us for decades to come.

🚨MAJOR TV NETWORK UPDATE🚨

Harder to imagine by the day that there will be legitimate, certified elections in 2026 and 2028.

Very cool that our job reports are just going to be straight up fabricated going forward. Absurdly impeachable offenses committed on almost the daily. Just another day in America.

Literally everything is more expensive than this time last year. My very essential medication to prevent pre-cancerous cells from growing went from a $5 co-pay to $30. Grocery bill is up at least 15%. But hey, at least we have two official pronouns now.

I never met Hogan. I never particularly cared for him as a performer, but don't deny his importance and acknowledge why he connected with so many. I know many in the industry who loved him, many who despised him. More than anything, I hope his family is at peace.

I don't think Hulk Hogan's legacy is complicated: his personal life played out on a very public stage, and his persona and character are deeply embedded in pop culture. He provided a lot of joy, and also caused *a lot* of hurt. I appreciate those who have brought both to light.

Jon Alba @jonalba.bsky.social · 25/07/2025

I'm not sure I have thoughts on Hulk Hogan's death that will ultimately contribute much to the public discourse, but I will say I have really appreciated reading a lot of thoughtful pieces today that have taken a deep dive into his place in culture, for better or for worse.

A #TNA official tells me the floor is sold-out for Slammiversary. They estimate it will be TNA’s most-attended show in the last decade, and the company is projecting internally it may end up being its most-attended U.S. show ever. I don’t have the total tix sold at this moment.

“Don't we all dream of a life somewhere Untouched by our failures?” Springsteen had that gem of a line sitting in his archive for 31 years. Can you imagine?

Welcome to #AEWAllIn, the biggest U.S. show #AEW has run to date.

While this is true, goodwill is an enormous part of any long-form storytelling is paying off earned action. Imagine if the Avengers lost in Infinity War AND End Game. Would anyone care what happened next at the same level of investment?

I wrote almost 2,000 words on why Tony Khan and #AEW cannot afford to have Hangman Page lose in the All In main event. Why goodwill, fan perception, and the company’s future creative direction are on the line Saturday ⬇️ #wrestlesky www.si.com/fannation/wr...

Why Tony Khan Can't Afford To Blow It With Hangman Page At AEW All In: Texas (Opinion)

Sometimes, you just have to make your free throws. Pro wrestling is unforgiving to those with the pen. Write a successful story, you’ll be held to that standard

The plot details sound promising. Neeson is gonna nail the deadpan humor perfectly. Seth understands what made those movies so special.

Oh dude they’re gonna nail it. I’m feeling great about it.

Not ROH. Maybe AEW. But AEW will be negotiating its next media rights deal within the next year and a half or so in all likelihood.

$7-10 million AAV on a platform with cable and OOT distribution

Not sure it’s the priority right now to do a show there, but I’d imagine a French AEW show at the right venue would come off great on TV

En route to Dallas for #AEW All In. Let’s do an #AskAlba to pass the time. Ask anything about anything. Must use the hashtag. Go.

“Is this a sports interview, or is this therapy?” @hangmanpage.bsky.social , six years in, is still discovering why he matters in #AEW. He opened up about how he navigates that in my new piece for The Takedown on SI ahead of All In. 📺: youtu.be/o_rIQadtd2Y?... 📖: www.si.com/fannation/wr...

I like Mike Brown a lot, actually, but I think the #Knicks hiring him would be a lateral move. In fact, I think they may even be looking forward to another name down the line 👀

While I personally think the #Mets should part with prospects or money to go for a higher value arm, here are five cheaper external options I came up with that the lab could target ahead of the MLB Trade Deadline 👀

That Punk/Cena segment is the very antithesis of everything CM Punk has been, his entire career. Punk's one of the best ever at talking people into buying a match, especially if things are personal. Didn't feel like the time to do that kind of segment, especially on a go-home.

I haven't done enough to acknowledge Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, as I have in the past. Candidly, this last month has been extremely defeating professionally for me. I know a lot of others feel the same. Thank you to those who have stuck through it. I appreciate you.

Over the last two weeks, the #Yankees have been by far and away the least clutch team in baseball (by both the eye test and FanGraphs). They were -2.01 coming into tonight (-2 or lower is considered "awful" in clutch situations). No one else in MLB is anywhere close.

18 years since the Chris Benoit tragedy. The darkest day in wrestling history, and one that had drastic consequences on the industry. Remarkable that it didn't have as devastating an effect as it could have, truthfully. One of those "remember where you were" moments.

Nope. They very seriously need to consider a repackage though. I’d turn him and make him more like a babyface Luke Perry.
