I suppose it’s not all that likely that Hudson gets picked up by someone else. He’s more valuable in Cincinnati than he would be anywhere else, I’d that makes sense. He played a bunch on special teams. Goodberry thought he could be a captain. Just an odd move, but what do I know.

I just learned that Hudson was released for this move. I don’t like this in the least. Jake was just applauding them for prioritizing keeping better players over positions, and then they did this.

Yeah I don’t think this improves the swing tackle problem at all. I think Foster is the best answer. He played well when matched up with Kromah during the Bears game. @jakeliscow.bsky.social has mentioned some technique issues, and I think he looked better at RT than LT by a lot, but he’s the guy.

We just saw him during the Eagles game. Looks like a decent pass blocker, but coach Peters will have to get more out of him in the run game. Bad shuttle and 40 during his pre draft, but had a good vertical, so he could have the power to move guys as a run blocker. He’s also massive. 6’7, ~325

Yes. He’s played big chunks of time with Jake Browning and Joe Flacco, and still put those numbers up. The only other WR in the conversation is Jefferson, who is a better route runner, but Ja’Marr is way better after the catch.

If it ends up being serious then I think Foskey has a good chance to pick up more meaningful snaps this year. Mafe and Howell are a smaller body type, and Murphy can’t be the only big body on the edge. Obviously we’re gonna see even more 3DT looks than we were already expecting.
