This painting depicts a woman with long brown hair and a leather jacket in front of a tire graveyard. Over the top of the tires, green, yellow, and purple paint drips, as if nature is reclaiming its dominance over humans.

In the original reference photo by Georgios Bero, all was b&w so any color was Jolie's.

$The artwork by Jolie depicts a ballerina near a window. She is dressed in a traditional ballerina outfit including a light blue top, a fluffy white tutu, lavender tights, and pink ballet slippers. Her hair is pulled back in a ponytail, and she balances on one leg with the other leg raised gracefully behind her in an arabesque position. She reaches out towards the window with one arm. The room has wooden flooring and yellow walls, and a wooden step stool is positioned near the window. The window lets in light that illuminates the ballerina and casts shadows on the floor and adjacent wall. The painting uses soft, blended brushstrokes with a pastel color palette. It is up to the viewer to decide if the blue and pink colors, empty picture frame, the step up towards the window with its refractive rainbow light has any interpretation beyond the symbols themselves. But this was painted during pride month and though it was not in the original photograph it was during a time that multiple pride events were going on near my home.$

Here are recent notebook sketches. I'm looking for my next large canvas painting, and it feels good to do these drills -small, fast drawings not intended for anywhere. It feels like I am just doing them for fun while releasing all the expectations I am putting on my next painting.

On a terre verte background, a trans model has their thumb hitched in their underwear. They teasingly pull it up a bit then down a bit.
A good friend looked at this and was sure it was a guy in a speedo and to that I said yes. You are correct. For you it can be a guy in a speedo. But for others it might be something else and that is why I love paintings that are ambiguous.

I found an old folder of saved photos from years ago. I’ve been drawing from this folder. It’s been a drawing a day. Usually in the morning but today I am getting my nails done and my hrt labs work done so I’ll see if I do a new one today. I may paint these some days but for now they’re this

Hi #PortfolioDay (reposting deleted post with Alt text) I began painting a bit over a year ago and posted during #JanuArty & #FebruArty last year. Here is a portfolio of recent paintings and also look for a post of portfolio from a year ago.

Two sketchbooks with a drawing and painting of same reference photo of Chloe my 2026 must from bsky. Drawing is graphite pencil and painting shows yellow green halo surrounding young mid 30s trans women painted in oils in an expressive painting style where you can see thick paint and heavy brush work.

Expressive oil painting with glowing blue effervescent background surrounds Chloe who is ready to go out for new years eve. She is wearing a little black dress (LBD) and lavish face makeup. Her earrings are glowing like a Vermeer.

Like the Celtic Goddess Morrigan, Two Winds is ready for Love, War, or preferably both. There are two ravens giving council while the goddess spins a charm where one door closes and a window opens. The whole painting is glowing yellow which emanates from the center of the painting.

What can you say here except it is a rare portrait of a male by Jolie. But it is the god David Bowie which Jolie did not find the least bit odd to paint. You see she usually paints women. But Jolie says if she is going to be painting a man then David is not a bad place to start. Look at that jaw and that energy. I can almost get it. And I do love his music. Who should be next?
