Scientist and history geek, I am active in my local church singing in the choir and ringing the bells. I love seeing the seasons change. As a family we re-enact some weekends.

A rainy day, the oak and beech are starting to put on their autumn colour. Some leaves are starting to gather on the path. In the next few weeks the colours will really start to change. #changingseasons

A wet day after a rainy week means that grass is regrowing and much is reviving after the hot dry summer. #changingseasons #wildflowers

Some late year flowers. The first is tucked in a road gutter. The other could be a grass flower but was good later summer colour. #wildflowers #changingseasons

It is cooler now, but everything is heading for the end of summer, though the nettles are coming back from their cut the other week. #changingseasons #wildflowers

Another hot week but the nettles that were cut down the other week are now starting to regrow. After this hot summer I think autumn cannot come too soon. #changingseasoms #wildflowers

This week someone from the local wildlife wardens has cut the grass and verges, so a lot of the nettles have gone and the path can be seen again. #changingseasons #wildflowers

I was explaining to my family how to spot wild carrots. It has a dense multi-flower head, with what looks like a bug in the middle. As we walked, the nearby field was full of smelly yellow hogweed. #wildflowers #changingseasons

Some lovely summer flowers visited lots of butterflies and grasshoppers which are difficult to catch on film. The wild carrots are starting to flower alongside clover, bindweed and bramble, which will be juicy blackberries later in the year #changingseasons #wildflowers

This week it has gone cold again. But the leaves are starting to break out of their buds and the blossoms continue to flower. The forsythia has been giving a show and I'm not sure how the mimosa got to this corner of the Cotswolds but it Cheers up the gate. #changingseasons # wildflowers
