Enriqueta González Baz was the first Mexican woman to earn a higher degree in mathematics, and the only mathematician among the five women at the Mexican Mathematical Society's 1943 founding. She later studied under Anna Pell Wheeler at Bryn Mawr. #HispanicHeritageMonth

This #HispanicHeritageMonth, we celebrate Cora Sadosky! The Argentine mathematician wrote 50+ papers in harmonic analysis, taught at Howard, and led AWM. Her advocacy for women and African Americans in math lives on through the Sadosky Prize.
