I thank God that the Pope is no longer considering a visit to the United States after how the current administration behaved towards him. I'm not Catholic (although some Hail Marys have been prayed over my lifetime), but the Pope is too important a figure to be put in danger here. #politics

For those who celebrate Easter, this is the day Our Lord rose from His grave, appearing only to His disciples before leaving the density of this Earth. Christ is the gold example of unconditional love. It is sad that so many have turned away from His message to persue wealth and discrimination.

My mother passed away yesterday morning. I found out this AM. The last two years of my mother's life were not the way she wanted to live. The hospital ignored a DNR order, which caused her to spend that time as a prisoner in her body. She is free now to be everything she loved about life. RIP Mom.💜

Not trying to pick up new shows from CBS, but Lucifer's Tom Ellis just started one called CIA (actors and character names are in the ALT description). Started a little choppy, but smoothed out around 11 minutes. Solid cast. It's worth a watch if you're not boycotting CBS.

This week's Celebrity IOU was William Shatner, one of the many treasures Canada has blessed us with over the years. He must have done some very good things to have the perfect assistant show up for him in his later years. There was something eerily final in his wisdom. Don't you dare, God. #StarTrek

This week's episode of Home Town featured Wendy, a woman who has Fibromyalgia. Listening to her talk about the things she needed to help her accommodate her illness made me feel so seen. It was nice to hear someone talk about dealing with specific Fibro problems in detail on TV. I related very much.

Jamie Oliver is tripping. I watched "Jamie's Feasts For A Fiver." The first recipe on the show was a dish made with chicken thighs. Walmart doesn't even sell chicken thighs bone-in on their website. Cheapest package? $5.52. Aldi was even more expensive. SMH. Clearly, food is cheaper in the UK. #food

I finally got around to seeing Wicked - For Good. The ending was wonderful. Galinda shows what happens when evil is given space in the name of propriety. I would have enjoyed this story much more than the one I was fed as a child when The Wizard of Oz was broadcast every year in the '60s.

The Kitten. Formally, her name was Roxanne, but she was my baby girl, and she seemed to prefer to come to "Kitten." I got her from Cat Rescue when she was 6 months old, an organization no longer around. She lived a relatively long life, passing in 2015, the last cat I was able to care for. 💖

Was watching Fatman Beyond this AM. J. C. was talking about his daughter hearing Black Parade (My Chemical Romance - youtu.be/RRKJiM9Njr8) for the first time and falling in love with it. I'd never seen it, so when I watched it and saw the following frame, I thought how apropos for the day. #politics

The ARC Restaurant in Vancouver has a bottomless brunch for this Thanksgiving 2025, featuring their cult favorite Turkey Skillet. Honestly, I'm not sure what all these different types of food are in this picture, but there is a nicely golden cooked turkey at the top in a huge iron skillet with some small potatoes on a bed of some type of herb, Roasted Kabocha Squash Soup, some rolls, some type of beef with green beans and mashed potatoes, some cranberries, and a dessert (I have no idea what it is - some type of pastry). You know what would be really funny? If the #rapture occurred today, but sent all the evil people parading as moral Christians straight to Hades. People think they will be forgiven, but they have forgotten Jesus turns from the lamb into the lion at the end of days. The meek will inherit the Earth.

When I heard Channel 4 (UK)was airing a special called "Dumpf vs The Truth" (www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/c...) I fell out laughing. "The special will likely be the longest uninterrupted reel of untruths, falsehoods, and distortions ever broadcast on television." Gotta love the UK. #politics

She was making very cute kitty noises until I picked up the camera, at which point she stopped because she is a cat (I tried). Actually, when someone says to come see Gaston, I think of this guy: IYKYK. He's Canadian, but he lives in Michigan, and as you can see, he is quite adorable. I'm sure he would enjoy that basket of apples if they're real. 😊

Gaston from the Free Spirit Equestrian YouTube channel. Gaston is a black horse who looks like a bay horse in the summer sun. He is a 16-hand, Canadian Draft Cross, and is wearing an Ebony Classic bitless bridle with Pearl Snap-out Brow Band and black Country English saddle. Gaston is a gem.

Sometimes, when I'm watching Strange New Worlds, I miss James Doohan. While I'm quite enjoying Martin Quinn's portrayal of young Montgomery Scott, there's just something about James Doohan that reminds me of a time that was much simpler. #StarTrek
