I’d argue that if you want to quickly get a plot forward draft, start with structure. But if you want to end up with something special, you need to start with characters. And to do that, you mostly need to shut up and listen. They’ll tell you what they need.

So, to clear customs, apparently the receiver needs an EORI number and sign over power of attorney. Or rather, UPS won't put it in front of customs without, even if you don't technically need the EORI because you aren't an economic operator. So, basically, you have to register as a business.

Meanwhile, I've been trying to ship him a few boxes of personal stuff (books, xbox, etc) and... holy shit! I knew it would be expensive, but it's now practically impossible to clear customs. Because of US tariff policies, you can no longer send a package from the US to a blood relative in the EU.
