Turns out you need a Netflix account to play the Thronglets game that appears in the credits of #BlackMirror :( bit.ly/4gdPdh2?r=qr

We had a brilliant few evenings at #Birmingham #LightNight! Amazing work everyone involved - can't wait to see how it develops in future years. A very long overdue addition to the city!

🎉 A new blog post: Imagine a giant, innovative community hub where learning, creativity, and play converge. 🌍 Third Space in Udaipur is redefining communal spaces. In this post I discuss the successes and challenges of working on their Frontiers Science Museum: www.johnsear.com/thirdspace/

The Third Space building under construction. The concrete frame of the large building is visible.

A mockup diagram of the CRISPR interactive exhibit. It shows two players collaborating on the two sides of the museum exhibit.

My setup to allow playtesting back in the UK. Two screens are shown which are the two views - one for each player. The players have different information - forcing them to collaborate.

🎉 A new blog post: What happens when physical theatre meets digital innovation on water? 🎭 The Diviners brings folklore to life in an immersive canal performance. Here I talk a bit more about NAIAD the technology that makes it happen & where we'd like to take it: www.johnsear.com/thediviners/

The Diviners immersive performance at Coventry Canal Basin. It shows a number of performers standing on a metal structure connected to several canoes.

8 mobile phones showing the NAIAD platform in use. This example is for a shared poetry reading - where each phone is allocated a different animal. In the photo we can see squirels, owls and badgers.

Screenshot of a website showing the controller for NAIAD platform. On the left are buttons to see content to phones. On the right is a list of pre-programmed cues.

🎉 A new blog post: Can You See Me Now? Ever wondered what it’s like to play the original game that turned city streets into playgrounds?🎮 Ben psiconlab.bsky.social & I worked with blasttheory.bsky.social to update their seminal #LocationBasedGame for the modern era: www.johnsear.com/cysmn/

A screenshot from the mobile game. It shows a small area of PortSlade in simple retro game style.

A variety of photos displayed in a grid. Each shows a different outdoor location captured during a live play of Can You See Me Now?
