Power Rangers fandom in a nutshell, when something non-MMPR is announced. "Why are they releasing *those* non-MMPR things and not the non-MMPR things that *I* want."

"Why are they starting with random teams? I want the Power Rangers Turbo ones."

As someone who spent an inordinate amount of time deciphering and translating Japanese text in screenshots back in the day, today has been suuuuper unexpected. GaoKing Swordmaster is easily my favorite finally-realized combo.

Render of GaoKing Swordmaster - a combination of Gaoranger's GaoKing and GaoPeacock - a long-ago piece of internal concept art that is finally being realized in SMP (model kit) form.

It's PRiS marathon day on my preferred #PowerRangers FAST channel, so that's on in the background as I do assorted weekend chores. I remain dumbfounded that I don't (read: can't) own a Quantron action figure. It's gotta be the most wanted of the non-action-figure'd yearly cannon fodder, no?

Promotional photo of a Quantron (silver variety) on set. Probably could be a standard action figure body (with, admittedly, some detailed paint work), plus custom boots and gauntlets, belt, torso wrap overlay, unique helmet and unique weapon. But, there's two varieties that could be released (only difference is the base color of the action figure body and the paint for the detail work). *sigh*

Forgot to add the photographic proof for posterity.

Playmates Toys MMPR Re-Ignition Evil Space Alien Rita Repulsa figure, hanging from a dedicated peg in a Walmart store with a label that reads "Rita Repulsa Figure, Retail Price $10.86".

I love seeing random lots of #PowerRangers toys on ebay and wondering how on Earth a particular combination of figures spanning three decades could ever occur.

Row 1: Dino Fury Hengeman, Ninja Storm Battlized Yellow Ranger, Dino Fury Pink Ranger, Ninja Storm Battlized Crimson Ranger, Ninja Steel Cat O’Clock villain
Row 2: Dino Fury Blue Ranger, Super Human Samurai Squad figure, Dino Fury Black Ranger, Imaginext Captain Cold?, Imaginext Mighty Morphin Black Ranger, Imaginext Mighty Morphin Blue Ranger

Congrats to whomever won Lot 4333 in the latest #PowerRangers auction. While I can't identify everything included (though I haven't spent much energy trying to do so), there's a small chance that whatever item in the lot caught their eye may not even be the coolest item in the lot.

(1) silver resin gun with 2-barrels and 3-scope like attachments on the top with a display base

(1) silver and gold resin crossbow-like weapon

(1) pair of oversized silver foam handcuffs, (1) pair of silver resin handcuffs, (1) silver resin Rescue Blaster, (1) foam forked handheld weapon, (1) black plastic blaster weapon with attached cord and silver-toned scope, (1) distressed rubber SPD blaster, (1) yellow and silver foam claw hand attachment, (1) resin Mega Shot style Astro Blaster, (1) green resin Astro Blaster, (1) plastic sheathed dagger, (1) silver-toned metal dagger with dragon head hilt, and (1) steampunk style resin blaster weapon with syringe attachment on the barrel.

Did someone pressed their fiery finger into my chocolate Dragonzord coin?

In-package promotional shot of the upcoming Playmates MMPR Re-Ignition Dragon Dagger, which comes with a Dragonzord Power Coin for the Power Morpher (sold separately). The coin in the package has a noticeable indentation on the right side, as if someone with flame powers squeezed it way too tight.

I can't believe I am once again working on a project with this image, and in 2025. 😫

I was sad when Power Rangers was cancelled, but lately I realize that maybe it was a blessing: I don't encounter mentally-deficient people like this in discussions that often anymore. Power Rangers fans as a whole are the cheapest, most entitled, least self-aware, clueless fandom I've encountered.

A comment from user spiderfan98 on the latest Instagram post from Playmates, revealing their line of MMPR figures for the first time. The post reads "Bring back the Lightning Collection line, Hasbro! I don't care if the sales were bad, just bring them back!". This comment had three likes when I took the screenshot.

Really not sure where they got this particular key art for a posing White Ranger. 🤔 #PowerRangers #EbayFinds

A green pencil storage box with a sticker on the front that says "Go Go Power Rangers!" and "Storage Box" and features six Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - five of which who are doing somewhat typical/familiar battle poses and the White Ranger facing slightly to his left, holding up both hands, as if to frantically say "wait wait, don't put your pencils in this storage box".

With ten episodes left before the show concludes and seemingly no #LightningCollection toys planned for at least the first half of 2024, has Hasbro succeeded where Disney failed over a decade ago? Has Hasbro finally put Power Rangers... ON ICE?...

My annual #LightningCollection fan survey results are now up. www.grnrngr.com/surveys/2023-lightn… I'll be around on-and-off today, but you can leave questions/observations/interview requests below. Screenshot below is I think the most stunning/damning...

If the #LightningCollection team at @Hasbro can go ahead and use this artwork from Bon Bernardo as a checklist for #PowerRangers bad guys to release, I'd be ok with that. (Even though there are some notable omissions I'd still like to see...)

John P. Green @johnpgreen.com · 18/04/2023

I'd like to encourage collectors to follow the instructions provided for #PowerRangers #LightningCollection product issues. They are asking for the identifying marks on the bad figures which should help them determine where the problems are occurring, which might help fix things

I 100% doubt that this is what is happening, but if #OnceAndAlways somehow ties into the premise of MMPR2010, I will be accepting invitations from Reversion-haters to come to your houses and personally laugh maniacally in your face. Credit for the idea:...

#PowerRangersULTIMATESWatch - January 17 update: 🚨 MMPR Wave 1 is shipping now (from the Super7 warehouse(s) - if you bought from a third-party, there's still a bit of waiting to do). Maybe nearing time for Wave 4 reveals...? @super7store

Who wants to tell the big brains at Hasbro that Lord Zedd's 30th anniversary isn't until July of 2024?

Ignoring *EVERYTHING* that has come before - the high bar they set for themselves, 4yrs of releases, crappy QC, questionable oversight - if this was my first impression of the #LightningCollection, I'd be pretty excited. Let's see if they can deliver. (One last second chance?)

#PowerRangers #DinoFury Gold Fury Blade Blaster set, containing Mosa Blaster and Mosa Blade (and Dino Fury Key). Mosa Blaster has lights & sounds. Part of the Spring 2023 PRDF releases - should be available starting in January.

It's been two weeks, and the new Zord Ascension Project website continues to showcase how little attention to detail the Power Rangers product team pays to pretty much everything they do. Quality Assurance is clearly just not something Hasbro invests in.

Why do #ILovePowerRangers? Because it has helped me turn a passion for web development into a full-blown career that, among other things, allows me to teach others. Oh yeah - and afford lots of ridiculous merchandise based on the show. 💸💸💸 @Hasbro @PowerRangers

Why do #ILovePowerRangers? Intricate (and ridiculous!) foam costumes that serve as Monsters du Jour and whose motif changes annually thanks to the source Super Sentai footage. Zyu2 monsters have a special place in my heart for more than one reason. @Hasbro @PowerRangers

And then, they were suddenly done. They did the freeze-frame gag at the end and didn't even roll credits! I added some for them, from the good ol' days. Maybe one of those guys will come along in a few years and buy the brand for a buck fifty. Total evil genius, that guy.

But, have no fear, I took a page out of the Hasbro play book and Googled "dragonzord marker rendering concept artwork". Here's what I found: (If you aren't familiar with this gag, the attached image is of course *not* the image in question. But Hasbro may think so IDK.)

Okay, as promised (warned?), here are my thoughts on today's #FanFirstTuesday stream. I started this out as kind of a blow-by-blow recap, but I just couldn't get through it. Yes, I even watched the thing again, but JUST UGH UGH UGH.
