Johnny Rudge @johnnyrudge.bsky.social · 16/01/2025If Murphy's starts appearing places on the bar or in small pack I will be absolutely buying a tonne of it for nostalgia reasons alone. The Old Man used to always have four cans of this in the fridge when I was growing up. 220
Johnny Rudge @johnnyrudge.bsky.social · 13/01/2025Good morning. This morning's coffee brewing was soundtracked by Kaleidoscope World by The Chills. 010
Johnny Rudge @johnnyrudge.bsky.social · 11/01/2025Been on the list for a long old time but finally got round to it. Pour over coffee (a Kenyan micro lot bean I'm currently still dialling in - an expensive hobby I certainly didn't fucking need) and an hour until I have to do anything. Let's get stuck in. 120
Johnny Rudge @johnnyrudge.bsky.social · 11/01/2025The 1910 Women Chainmakers Strike in Cradley. The cast would mainly be made up of black country women since it is tough to trust actors with the dialect. If Saoirse Ronan could manage it (she obviously could) she would be a shoo-in. 100
Johnny Rudge @johnnyrudge.bsky.social · 10/01/2025Please enjoy the first edition of exteriors of pubs I walk past when strolling around town on my way to work or on my lunch break. JR's Birmingham City Centre Pub Tour #1: The Old Contemptibles. 140

Johnny Rudge @johnnyrudge.bsky.social · 08/01/2025Haven't been to Manchester for a year or so so putting it out here in the hope of some recommendations for lovely places to scran if possible? Nothing super fancy, just somewhere nice for my sister in law and her two mates to eat some good food. 201

Johnny Rudge @johnnyrudge.bsky.social · 26/12/2024Good job I'm half a Sonoma keg (and a bottle of The Kernel 1880 Bitter) deep because I'm not sure how I'm going to handle the emotional maelstrom that is the first game after Carlos has gone and then the joy of Chris Brunt being in the dugout. 110
Johnny Rudge @johnnyrudge.bsky.social · 26/12/2024Watching the new Wallace and Gromit with the kiddo this morning. Every time I watch Wallace and Gromit I'm just glad it exists. 1130

Johnny Rudge @johnnyrudge.bsky.social · 22/12/2024My #12BeersOfXmas has taken a significant ding as I now have my customary full blown Christmas cold. 200
Johnny Rudge @johnnyrudge.bsky.social · 20/12/2024First up in my #12BeersOfXmas is a 2022 Stille Nacht from De Dolle. What a beer! I am finding it difficult to describe this batch of the beer. Cosy is the best I can come up with at the moment. A really lovely balance in this of warming boozy sweetness and a nice gentle, lingering bitterness. 3392
Johnny Rudge @johnnyrudge.bsky.social · 20/12/2024Mine will be feast or famine this year although I am due to start tonight with an elite Christmas beer. 131
Johnny Rudge @johnnyrudge.bsky.social · 19/12/2024I hope your morning coffees are all full of the same vim and vigour as Bomber, Robbo and Ozzy's. 110
Johnny Rudge @johnnyrudge.bsky.social · 08/12/2024One of the greatest gigs I've ever been too, btw. They made it one big party. Support act was a Genesis tribute act from Liverpool. Brought out a giant cornhole game and gave a member of the audience $300 for participating. Every song was immaculate. Played for three hours in total. 110

This west coast pale is absolutely bang on the money. They're the real deal. 140

Johnny Rudge @johnnyrudge.bsky.social · 29/11/2024Alien: Romulus is pleasingly reminiscent of the first three Alien movies. The accompanying beer is a beer of the year contender. Fyne Ales Origins Series, Nàdar Gooseberry. It is intense yet nuanced. Plenty of gooseberry, horse blanket, oak and vanilla. Absolute corker. 2131
