When claude says "Excellent research" after doing a round of planning, is it talking to itself?

Teaching my son how to build and program hardware. He’s having so much fun. Presently working out melodies to program into his little piezo speaker circuit. The @sparkfun.bsky.social inventor’s kit has been a great platform for teaching him.

Every day I look at iOS and MacOS liquid glass and am just continually shocked that platforms that have been maturing for decades took a giant step backward in visual polish and legibility because ... some designer likes transparency? And now there are a bunch of prefs to fix it? Who's to blame?

Started reading LeGuin’s short story collection The Wind’s Twelve Quarters. The opener Semley’s Necklace is such a beautiful tragic parable. I loved the imagery and the light-handed account of interaction between space-faring and planet-bound species.

You can get replacement parts for missing Lego pieces for free on their website. My son lost the sticker sheet for his Artemis rocket set. Now a new one is coming in the mail. You get used to companies just doing the absolute bare minimum. It is so wonderful to experience the opposite ❤️

Found this in my early Claude conversations, when I learned Anthropic didn't have a real image generation model.

The Smashing Machine is very good. Dwayne Johnson's performance is incredible. A lot of pathos in his portrayal of addiction and the victories and failures of a fighter.

In what security paradigm does it make sense to prefer something I know to something I have (watch) and something I am (fingerprint)? If it’s actually meant to be a security measure, why not make it a 2 or 3 factor auth requirement? It also knows my phone is nearby that could be used as a factor.
