I've had two months off for surgery, but tomorrow I begin chemotherapy again. I'm nervous. But far less nervous than last time when it was a terrifying unknown. Now it's just a grim known. It's for a purpose and it's not forever

Just been signed off by the lung surgeon following my operation. I've recovered well and fast. I'll be starting round 2 of chemotherapy soon. The surgeon says he hopes to never see me again, unless we bump into each other on Richmond Hill for ice cream 🍨

This is a fantastic point. Bizarrely we've entered a world in which the model you speak to is as changeable as the land above the Magic Faraway Tree. I'm ready for models with version numbers and something like semver. Documented breaking changes for new releases of models, would be a feature

There's a bug in the WhatsApp Open Graph image parser. By default, Docusaurus hits this bug, when running in Faster mode. My first surgery is complete. Early signs are it went well. I feel like a truck hit me. I've written up my experience of the last week. It begins light-hearted, but I do get a bit emotional part way through. It's honest though. And I feel that is worthwhile. johnnyreilly.github.io/reillys-on-t...

Going into hospital this week for my first surgery. Scary. Discovered that solar eclipse and meteor showers are planned for when I'm confined to a hospital bed. Irritating. Realised this is just like the start of Day of the Triffids and I am become Bill Masen. Now worrying for the rest of humanity.
