For Mrs B, it’s when we decorate the house on the first weekend in December. For me, it’s Christmas morning when I prep all the veg, while the kids (and now grandkids) bounce around.

Vet’s bills eh? Trixie has tablets to help with her arthritis, Linkie has some to stop his skin getting all rashy. We’ve just renewed their prescriptions, and fucking hell! We’ve worked out that they cost enough to pay for our car insurance and house insurance over the year. 💷💷💷

Finished picking the sealant off this morning, then took Gus the pup out for an hour. Nipped round to our mates for 10 minutes, and stayed for 2hours and a couple of drinks. A decent Tuesday, I think.

Spent a couple of hours clambering about the conservatory roof, putting sealant on the edges of some panels. I’m the world’s messiest silicon-er, so I’m looking forward to spending the next couple of hours picking bits of sealant off myself.

Can’t be that hard, even I’ve had one!

Mrs B had to go to the optician in town. It’s very close to the Travel Agent, so of course we went and booked another holiday. So thats Turkey in a couple of weeks, Puglia next May (today’s booking) and Sardinia next August. We decided a while ago to have as many as we can, while we can.

Rushed around this morning, did some shopping, a bit of tidying on the conservatory roof, all finished by 3:00. It’s purely a coincidence that the first of 3 rugby games are on from 3:00. 😇

It’s the end of a busy week, so we’re off with our mates to the flat roofed pub for beer and curry - woo hoo.

We’re not watching Traitors, celebrity or otherwise, so Mrs B has got a murdery, detectivey thing on, and I’m going to drink some beer and read one of my Patrick O’ Brian books.

All steady today, so far. No family emergencies this morning, so I’ve been able to just potter in the garden. I’ve cut down loads of next door’s willow overhanging our garden. Then took the grandkids to the park after school.

Link and Trixie are quite sedate and quiet, when we have Gus the pup, it’s carnage. Also we’ve realised the amount of shite produced increases exponentially.

Lincoln doesn’t move much in the morning either.

I had some plans for this morning, not much, but still plans. Middle daughter’s got no power (from (6:45), I’ve exhausted all my options (switching the main fuse on and off again) so I’m spending the morning at hers waiting for an electrician. Still, it’s quiet…

Yesterday while I was on the train, two blokes came up and asked my name. I told them and one said to the other, “See, I told you.” I was their headteacher in Primary school, nearly 30 years ago. I remembered them, two brothers, proper rogues. We had a good old chat. That was nice, wasn’t it?

Off to the Tigers with Mrs B, last quick pre match beer.

Oldest granddaughter (11) staying over tonight, her and Mrs B watching Strictly, I’m sat quiet in the corner, a book and a beer.

Mrs B and I have obviously watched K Pop Demon Hunters with our granddaughter too many times, because we both said “It’s the Saja Boys!”

A very quick curry at the flat roofed pub, then back for the rugby on telly. I’ve missed it!

It’s been cold and miserable today, I put jeans on, it’s really Autumn, isn’t it?

Watching question time, and Andrew Neil is an old fart who needs to bet told to stop pontificating.

Not too bad, just had to mend a shelf in the greenhouse, take down a swing seat and dismantle a wooden lounger that’s surplus to requirements. Had all the necessary kit, fortunately.

Just nipping round to see the aged relation. I’ve put a toolkit together, there’s bound to be jobs…
