I want everyone to remember this betrayal. At a time when we needed them most, at the threshold of a fascist like Trump taking office, when the chips were down and the left needed their alt-media powerhouses, @theyoungturks.bsky.social bowed their heads to MAGA, Peter Thiel, and Elon Musk.

Just to support one of Epstein’s friends for President, who himself has numerous credible accusations. The dichotomy of man. Trump will and has done more harm in our world than hundreds, if not thousands of Pedophiles.

I don’t usually make this kind of request, but I feel many people don’t know we’re on Bluesky. If you think your followers would be interested, please share this with them! Our mission is simple: to share facts, challenge misinformation, and do it all in a way that brings people together.

These arguments you are referencing are from the late 18th century, describing slavery as a “necessary evil” needed for their economy. By the mid 19th century, Southerners adhered to the “positive good” argument that slavery was massively beneficial to all religiously, morally, and socially.

“Who will pick our crops?” Was not an argument used by slaveholders in the 1860s to justify slavery. Their fear was not that they couldn’t find workers, but that the social order would be overturned. Today we have minimum unemployment and a migrant workforce willing and able to pick up the slack.

What are you talking about? The US produces more oil than ever. Gas prices have risen over the last several years, but are dropping since 2022 and we have outpaced all of OPEC. Yes we did dip into reserves to keep the price down, but you said it yourself: “global prices.” What do you expect?

Look no further than the fact that the US has curtailed inflation faster than almost every western country and the stock market has been hitting record highs this year. Our economy has done substantially well and we’ve had no new pandemics. Yet Trump has convinced voters that our economy is poor.

People with mental illnesses can’t be popular? That’s a wild assumption backed by no evidence. Him helping a homeless woman is also not proof of him not being an evil demented human. Evil people can do good things, and good people can do evil things.

Delusional, Trump didn’t listen to anyone except the voices in his head. His media ecosystem was able to make people think they were somehow better four years earlier despite being locked down in COVID and in economic struggle. To think he has any policies that will help “swing voters” is wrong.

Johnny Law @johnny-dgg.bsky.social · 02/12/2024
That’s because the right knows that if they stop talking about Trans/Gender issues, people will realize they don’t actually care and it’s not affecting their lifestyle at all. They need to manufacture a problem otherwise they’ll have to run on real policy.

I’m saying that the Cathedral represents more to the French than simply being a church. It is a wonder of Gothic architecture. It is also the site of countless historic events. Napoleon was crowned there. Liberation from German rule was celebrated there. Some history deserves preservation.

Johnny Law @johnny-dgg.bsky.social · 29/11/2024
So I suppose of all the people who visit France, only the Christians visit the Notre Dame? If you polled the people of France on the most important French Monuments then only the Christians would mention Notre Dame? Like France itself, the Cathedral has been damaged and rebuilt many times.

Johnny Law @johnny-dgg.bsky.social · 29/11/2024
Two things can be true: 1. The Notre Dame is a Christian structure that has worldwide reverence for many Christians. 2. The Notre Dame is an iconic symbol of French History and French perseverance through centuries of struggles. Just because it’s Christian doesn’t mean it isn’t important to all.

Perhaps, but the fact remains that Russia has lost ground as well and has reported widespread desertion of late. Attacking into Russia functions as a message that Ukraine will not rollover without making them pay, bringing both parties closer to peace since Ukraine simply has to outlast them.

Johnny Law @johnny-dgg.bsky.social · 21/11/2024
This is true but there are 2 key distinctions. 1. The south came extremely close to winning at Gettysburg. 2. The South didn’t have any international support let alone the entire western world.
110
Johnny Law @johnny-dgg.bsky.social · 21/11/2024
It’s a similar tactic to the South pushing into Pennsylvania during the Civil War. Remember that Russia has to fully subordinate Ukraine to win, Ukraine simply has to survive. If Ukraine can make Russia realize the cost of continuing the war is greater than ending it, they can win.

House Ethics Republicans are now complicit in burying the report into Matt Gaetz, voting against its release (despite the issue being serious enough to warrant an investigation in the first place). Trump says jump, Republicans say "how high" -- even if it means shielding sex trafficking of a minor.
