I had to look it up and compare them, and yeah, it does. Although, I was moreso drawing her face to look closer to Launch's, while also adding the elements from Bulma's pupils. Because... Well... I actually prefer the original Dragon Ball and Early Z art styles, rather than the later ones.

I've never played "Annalynn", but everytime I search for this character in Akira Toriyama's art style, no one has ever drawn Annalynn in that art style. So I thought "Why not just do it yourself?", and then, I did. Here's a rough sketch of what Annalynn would look like in the Dragon Ball art style.

I've never realized that Sonic was in a game called "Gaia Online", and looking at the Sonic sprite. It actually looks pretty good for a 32-bit styled sprite, I wish we could get a Sonic fangame with this kind of art style, because I'm a big fan of the larger sprites.

Nice, I wish other video game remakes could do the same.

Since the Touhou EOSD remake came out, I feel that this game will basically be Dragon Ball Kai, because they're based on a more popular game/anime rather than the original ones... 'guess I'll have to play the game myself to see if it's worth it or not.

Shaggy Adventure 2
A drawing of Shaggy from Scooby-Doo and a random hippie dude from Cake Mania: Main Street doing the Sonic Adventure 2 cover art pose. Also, I decided to name the hippie guy as "Roderick "Dabby" Modgers".

I've never played Undertale or Deltarune, but I heard Pink is a very cool character.

Then I decided to rip the sprites from Hissatsu Pachinko Collection 3 on the SNES and Hissatsu Pachinko Station 9 on the PS1 in 2022, and honestly... It's great to see someone acknowledge this character this year.

Huh... The Remi sprites from the Sega Saturn version of Hissatsu Pachinko Collection are recently ripped... cool. I remember when I discovered the existence of this character by watching a random video by a Japanese YouTuber. www.spriters-resource.com/saturn/hissa...

As for the follow-up post, it simply goes like this: All I have to do is animate the mouth shapes according to the consonants and vowels, and then I can color the characters and their mouths frame by frame, once they're done. I can move on to adding the backgrounds.

After finishing the cleanup on the third scene for 25 days, I can finally move on to the lip sync and the coloring.

Good news, everyone: I'm almost done with scene 3 for my animation. All that's left is do the cleanup of the last shot and I will finally showcase the cleanup.

Agreed, I feel like Sonic's Sonic 1 Oshima design is one of my favorite iterations of Classic Sonic, especially Modern Sonic's early Uekawa design. Because Sonic in the Sonic 1 concept arts for example... Actually looks like a cartoon character, which is why I think he is THE Classic Sonic imo.

Well, I guess today is halloween... and I've been working on this animation for almost 4 months. Also, the reason I made Mario pull the sausage from his pocket is because it was meant to be a reference to the interviews of Charles Martinet whenever he explains how he became the voice of Mario.

And what's interesting is that these are my main use of sound effects, because even though having most of the sounds collected will waste more space on your PC. I think they're actually useful when it comes to sound design.

Johnnie Electronic @johnnieelectronic.bsky.social · 30/09/2026
Sound effects libraries are very nostalgic when it comes to any type of production with these CDs from the 80s and 90s, since there are plethora of iconic sounds to choose from. Hanna-Barbera sounds are very well known, since they're used a lot in every media. They're very goofy and classic.

Yeah... When I was 16, I didn't even care of what the characters' sizes are supposed to be according to their head sizes. So I thought it looked okay when I first made these Pikachu sprites, but nowadays, I can just grab the images and compare the size of the characters. Also, happy late birthday.

This one was made in late 2021, it's Fat Pikachu. in Sonic 3 style. Although, it may look great by today's standards, I think All I can do with these sprites in 2026 is to simply edit the shading to match the game's art style properly.

I remember making this mockup sprite in 2024, it's a custom Shantae sprite. based on the old concept arts from 1994-1998, where the first Shantae game was originally going to be the PS1 game. but it was scrapped in favor of making the first game on the GameBoy Color.

This one is what I'm actually proud of, it's a famous Son Goku wallpaper. redrawn in Minoru Maeda's art style, this was the time where I tried to draw Teen Goku instead of Kid Goku in 2025, I really hope people won't confuse the one on the left as the one on the right.
A fanmade redraw of the famous Goku image from 2025.The original Goku image that was based on.

Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & 2 if the sprites looked faithful to the concept and promo arts.

Getting closer to finishing the cleanup of the 3rd scene, I could imagine some of the frames becoming a meme. Because of the way the characters' faces are drawn and the quality of the animation, but hey, at least it's looking pretty decent.

This one is sort of easy. It's just Mario shoving down the Dictator's hat and punching the Claw's face, I know Mario would (Technically) never do this in the official games. But it's just a fan-animation, so I doubt Nintendo would see this and try to take down my recent animation on YouTube.

So now that we have the translated texts from all 3 games to work with, I feel like we can make the texts say anything we want in my book.

Johnnie Electronic @johnnieelectronic.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
I remember when I was revising the sprite submission from Superstar Saga to include the translated texts from other regions in 2025. since we have more fonts to edit it out, and after my revision on TSR. Other sprite rippers decided to do the same with Partners in Time & Bowser's Inside Story.

Probably because Reimu in EOSD makes that similar face in the original sprite, sure. the sprite is low-quality and it's hard to make out the details, but I think I did an alright job at adapting her design into my style.

I remember when I was drawing Reimu in Dragon Ball style. I had the idea of Reimu getting older in each games, so I decided to make a new digital sketch on the right this year, and honestly. Reimu growing up like Son Goku is kind of interesting imo.

Thanks, I remember when I started making my own Sonic sprite. I just combined the base Sonic 2 sprite and the Sonic 3 shoes, and of course. I had to use Sonic's Adventure design because my fangame takes place after Mario Tennis 64 and before Seihou 1.

Johnnie Electronic @johnnieelectronic.bsky.social · 20/09/2026
And to be honest, if I want to to keep working on my cancelled Mario & Touhou fangame, who knows, maybe I can hire a few people to work on this Mario and Touhou fangame someday... Unless there's a Discord alternative that is not Discord itself.

This one was important for me, Sonic was originally going to be an unlockable character in Mario x Touhou. and the NES era versions of the Mario brothers were going to be included in a flashback scene.

And what's funny is that this Mickey Mouse game was originally released on the Arcades in 1998. but only in Japan, probably because the sprites from the console versions were easier to rip than the original arcade version.
000
Johnnie Electronic @johnnieelectronic.bsky.social · 19/09/2026
I heard someone ripped the Mickey Mouse sprites from "Magical Tetris Challenge" on the N64. and looking at these sprites, they actually look great for a game from the late 90s. and the director and designer behind this game would later work on the Zelda game in 2001 onwards.

After days of cleaning up 22 frames of Sonic swimming in the air while SpongeBob and Patrick are confused, I can finally do a cleanup of the frames where SpongeBob and Patrick dry out and die.

I remember making these sprites of Mickey, Donald & Goofy in Classic Sonic style, I was going to include the whites on Mickey's eyes. Since I thought it looked better than just his white or peach face, but because of people asking me to change the color of his face. I changed it to peach instead.

Which means. YouTube's AI decided to sneak in, mark an old video as "made for kids", just to demonetize the YouTubers' channel for "misleading family content".
000
Johnnie Electronic @johnnieelectronic.bsky.social · 16/09/2026
Also, I recently found out why YouTube's AI moderation keeps demonetizing every YouTubers on the platform... Because if the video is set as "made for kids" by you, you would see nothing, but if the video is set as "made for kids" by YouTube, you'll notice that they marked the video from years ago.

Idk how long it's gonna take to do a cleanup of Sonic swimming in the air, but the way I did a cleanup in this frame looks very off-model. That I had to keep this frame intact, it looks kinda funny imo.

Same, I feel like these kinds of theories make no sense and are overused in my opinion.

By the way, I actually wrote this in 2024, which was a reference to the season 34 episode of the Simpsons. "Lisa the Boy Scout". But instead of the Simpsons characters, we have the Mario characters, I could imagine this script taking place in 1983's Mario Bros.

I'm pretty sure the colors are a combination between his atomic fire ability and the normal one, so I assume that in the bootleg, Mega Man can use Alex Kidd's abilities to kill the enemies and other robot masters, especially the rock-paper-scissors minigame, even if Alex is not a robot.
000
Johnnie Electronic @johnnieelectronic.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
I see. Also, Mega Man looks somewhat close to his official design from the games, but I feel like the red and light blue colors feel... Strange, as for Dr. Light... Well... You can tell they were trying to base that design off of his official design, but... He looks nothing like Dr. Light.

Johnnie Electronic @johnnieelectronic.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
Well, apparently. It's actually a character named "Plum" from Mega Man Battle & Chase on the PS1, they almost got her hair color right, but the rest are very inaccurate to the original.

Johnnie Electronic @johnnieelectronic.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
I also decided to rip the sprites from RockHeaven/RockWorld. Because, ya know, I heard the characters look very off-brand.

Yeah, though my only critique is that Naoto Oshima wouldn't draw Sailor Moon shorter, he would probably draw her taller like the original design or something like the one on the left or the one on the right.

And I guess that's kind of why my versions of the sprites would later influence most people around the world, because... Well... My Goku, Mario and Reimu sprites look like they actually belong in Sonic 1's style.

Fun fact: The way I draw the human characters in Sonic 1 style was sort of inspired by that one DeviantArt post by xXBlackWayhemXx, where it's Sailor Moon, in Sonic 1's art style. The only difference is the sclera are all white and the pupils are all black, and of course, the inclusion of the nose.
