A red squirrel caught on one of our new trail cameras at Glenlude! 🐿️🌲 Our four new trail cameras will make monitoring easier and help us see what other wildlife is using the site, allowing us to continue building our wildlife records.

#JohnMuirDay 21 April 2026 followed @johnmuirtrust.bsky.social advice & spent 21 minutes in Kingoodie wood/quarry listening & watching nature do its stuff. At least 15 species of birds sang around me, the sunshine the insects were active & broom flowering. Not forgetting microbes & lovely lichen

Last weekend, 1,700 runners and supporters gathered at Nevis Range for the return of Salomon Skyline Scotland. The Ben Nevis Skyline saw over 400 racers tackle a challenging 28.1km run taking them over the summit of Ben Nevis. Read the full story here: eu1.hubs.ly/H0nwBVk0

Mostly active between dusk and dawn, pine martens rarely reveal themselves easily. But while notoriously difficult to spot, this is an animal that, in Scotland at least, continues to recover lost ground following past human persecution and habitat loss: eu1.hubs.ly/H0n4kP20

We've now completed our seven-week Connect Outdoors educational hiking programme, finishing with the 1,103m Munro, Beinn Ghlas, overlooking Loch Tay, and a 10km woodland trek around Chatelherault Country Park. Community, connection, camaraderie; so many great achievements, so many proud moments!
