There is no sophisticated explanation to absolve Celtic players and coaches of last night's failure. The collapse was unbelievable, but this is a pattern of failure. If that is not recognised, it will keep happening. 🔗 www.celticway.co.uk/opinion...

Five straight exits from UCL qualifying show how quickly Celtic's advantages can become irrelevant if the club are unprepared. Dangerous LASK deserve respect but again can't be considered insurmountable. Celtic have to live up to their billing. ➡️ www.celticway.co.uk/news/2647626...

Excited for the big 'once-in-27-years-event' today. Not the solar eclipse, Celtic signing quality players before a European deadline.

The usual transfer window silly season rumour mongering, speculation and seen-to-be-angry takes have taken a right sinister turn today across forums, social media and the like. Would say people need to calm down but it likely falls on deaf ears.

Martin O'Neill or Robbie Keane? The obvious answer is undoubtedly O'Neill, but why has this become the question? Celtic's managerial search, concerns about the process and little sign of the club changing despite insistence of internal review. ➡️ www.celticway.co.uk/opinion/2616...

I watched O'Neill win his first title as a 14-year-old season ticket holder. This one meant so much because of that nostalgia, with him at the centre of it all. Also because it was flawed, emotional and hard-won, not routine. Title win reflections ➡️ www.celticway.co.uk/opinion/2611...

Not experienced a level of this toxicity on Twitter since Aaron Ramsey missed a penalty. And back then I admit I was probably in wind up mode. This time I am just reporting the facts. Someone just told me I'd be 'dealt with'. But referees are the problem.

This is one of my favourite shows we have produced this season, on the morning of a massive match at Celtic Park vs Hearts. The nerves, the belief, Martin O'Neill's storyline, what we expect from both teams and the SFA's scathing statement. ➡️ youtu.be/vE09gg0vUcs?...

Why I think the hysteria around Celtic’s Fir Park penalty is completely absurd
Celtic’s late Fir Park penalty has sparked fury from Hearts, Motherwell and pundits, but the decision was far from a national scandal.

Maybe this is a chance for broadcasters to bring a more thoughtful, considered approach to match coverage. What I heard on TV and radio lacked knowledge, balance and set the tone for a fervour that has been magnified to an absurd degree, even if you think it wasn't a penalty.

Martin O'Neill's record all comps this season: Played 33, Won 26, Drawn 3, Lost 4. His Premiership win rate so far - 81.8% - is higher than all but one of his 5 league seasons between 2000 and 2005.

Celtic are now standing on the verge of something unforgettable, the flavour of title win that comes along once in a generation. Daizen Maeda's goal threatens to become modern folklore, if O'Neill's side can finish the job. Title week thoughts ➡️ www.celticway.co.uk/opinion/2609...

Scepticism is valid but I don't think Forrest's contract represents either extreme of opinion on squad plans. He still profiles well as an impact sub and can be a part of transition. That's worth a year. Celtic will rightly be judged on what's next.

For stewards and clubs, pitch invasions of any description are never ideal, but celebratory pitch invasions are not once-in-a-decade events. They happen, and they are contained, and everyone goes on with their day. This shouldn't be falsely equated with violence and ill intent.
