I know that empathy is viewed as a weakness by too many people these days (they’re wrong by the way.) But a tip for the current Presidential administration. This is how you talk to people after a national tragedy. youtu.be/ynuDA8A42Ic?...

Sounds like another iconic piece of the downtown #FortWayne skyline is going away soon. Maybe even today. Farewell to the spinning bread on Pearl Street. #perfection #sunbeam

One last look at the amazing inaugural display of holiday lights at Parkview Field in downtown #FortWayne. I was hoping for a chance to see what these would look like with snow on the ground, and Mother Nature delivered with about a day to spare. #inwx #snow #holidaylights

I’ve worked out every day this year. Please don’t put that in context. #newyearsresolutions

This spaceflight fan is grateful to #JimmyCarter for kind of a niche reason. In the late ‘70s, pressure to cancel the Space Shuttle was immense after years of delays and cost overruns. Jimmy Carter saved the Space Shuttle. arstechnica.com/science/2016...

A Cold War mystery: Why did Jimmy Carter save the space shuttle?

Ars solves the mystery by going directly to a primary source—the president himself.

Every time conditions like this pop-up at Vandenberg, it makes me wonder if they ever could have flown the Space Shuttle from there. Something tells me that even if the technical issues could’ve been fixed, the weather would rarely have cooperated.

How do you make Lady Liberty (atop the Allen County Courthouse) even more beautiful? Back light from the Christmas lights at the Lincoln Tower in downtown #fortwayne. #holidaylights #indiana

My wife and I are out having pizza tonight, celebrating the anniversary of our first date with the chow we had that night. When I told our daughter it was the 37th anniversary of said date, she marked the occasion by stating “Y’all old. There’s no sugarcoating that.” #parenting

Thanks to the diecast Huey I found, the last piece of my Die Hard Christmas tree is in place. “Keep this thing on the deck. They’re expecting transports, not gunships.” #diehard #diehardisachristmasmovie

My daughter drove herself to school this morning for the first time. I’ve been driving her most days since preschool. And literally as she’s driving away, “Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me” comes on my car radio. A little on the nose, don’t you think? #parenting #gettingoldsucks

Downtown New Haven was aglow tonight for the city’s Holiday Homecoming parade and tree lighting. It was beyond cold, but New Haven’s community spirit never fails and the crowds along Broadway had a blast. #newhavenindiana #holidaylights #indiana

If you missed the Christmas On Broadway tree lighting and fireworks Friday night, here’s a little taste! Drone video by me from high above the festivities. Friday marked the 20th anniversary of this celebration of the Broadway corridor. #fortwayne #christmas #christmasonbroadway

I took this picture of downtown #FortWayne 3 days ago and haven’t stopped showing it off since. If you knew Fort Wayne 20 years ago, this picture is even more remarkable. My town is awash in the glow of forward thinkers, great ideas and commitment to bringing our city back to life. #indiana #drone

My first of hopefully many posts. Thought I'd give this platform a try for a while. More later, I promise.
