John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 15/10/2026Update: took a walk with my dog and spent some time drawing. Feeling better now. 010 1

John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 12/10/2026Maybe it's a take on the "One big object" Wally Wood panel? 060 6
John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 08/10/2026Bigots equating the things they hate to communism has a long history in the USA. When the media plays stupid, as if these claims have any basis outside of old racist talking points, you know it's because they're making a deliberate choice. Complicity is as easy as not questioning racist rhetoric. 000 0
John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 05/10/2026Congrats on them for living out a 20-year-old internet meme tho... 030 3

John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 22/09/2026Little known fact: on his way to Earth, Gordon Shumway (ALF) had to do battle with a Predator on a faraway planet. 040 4
John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 19/09/20261. Whenever you see these "AI breaks out" stories, PLEASE understand that this is HUMAN ERROR and not the machine being clever. 2. I remember when Google's security teams were world-class, among the best in the business. I assume there are still some of them there but clearly none of them on Gemini 000 0
John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 15/09/2026Currently Energica is the manufacturer with an electric ADV model that I'd recommend. Zero makes one as well, but it maxes out a Level 2 charging which makes it less accessible for charging infrastructure. Most public chargers are Level 3, & Livewire or Energica are the two who make L3 capable bikes 100 1
John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 15/09/2026Don't get me wrong, the Livewire is an excellent bike. But the version the guys are using is an early pre-production model that's been retrofitted to a different riding profile, all of which affects performance. They needed an ADV and the Livewire is a city bike or scrambler. Beautiful bike, tho. 100 1
John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 15/09/2026Anyhow, this Long Way Up season is interesting, but I can't help feeling like they chose the wrong motorcycle. If I were giving them a suggestion for a bike to use, I'd have pointed them to Energica. Their battery packs are larger, the motor is a bit stronger, & they know how to make an EV bike. 100 1
John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 15/09/2026The main challenge for any long-distance trip with an EV isn't the range of the EV itself (though everyone always assumes it is). The biggest hurdle is the lack of charging infrastructure. Imagine driving for a long distance without assurance that the next gas station will have gas. That's EV life. 100 1
John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 15/09/2026I got my first electric motorcycle in 2021, & honestly I can't imagine doing a long-distance trip on it. It's nice, but it maxes at Level 2 charging (which isn't available much outside of cities). My second bike is another story. It's got L3 charging & is much sturdier. However... 100 1
John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 15/09/2026It's wild to see them riding where there's nearly zero charging infrastructure. They're mostly trying to charge their bikes on basic wall electric power-- doable, but painfully slow. Like 6-8 hours to charge up. But they do it! 100 1
John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 11/09/2026I came across this today & can't remember why I drew it. Now I want Blazer Surfer to meet Cosmic Ghost Rider. 000 0
John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 10/09/2026A. Good. Let's hit double digits. Secondly, if it weren't for free money from governments' (subsidies, land grants, & much more), the price of gas & diesel would be anywhere from $2 to $10 higher, depending on who's adding it up. III. We already have a solution for this. The govt is fighting it. 010 1
John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 27/08/2026Idea: Call him out on his threat. What's the worst thing to happen? He tears down a building with the Kennedy name on it? SO FUCKING WHAT? We made a mistake treating that family like royalty, & it's already biting us. When these shmucks lose power (& they will), make a new Performing Arts Center. 020 2
John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 27/08/2026It's a cash grab. Interesting how they're going about it, but it's a cash grab. 030 3
John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 25/08/2026BlueSky not beating the racist allegations-- Usain Bolt didn't compete in Beijing. 000 0
John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 24/08/2026"Robot runs faster that Usain Bolt!" Except no it didn't. Sure, if we only count the 100 meters the robot DID manage to run 0.19 second faster. But the robot had no control-- it needs human operators. So how is this any different than me claiming my motorcycle is faster than Bolt is newsworthy? 000 0
John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 21/08/2026Wow, he really made an argument using the basic format from a Matt Bors comic. No, not that one (I know it's usually that one), the other one. If you're so into AI that you'd rather hang with nazis, then... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 160 6

John Lieske @johnlieske.social · 17/08/2026Quoting a comment: This seems like good reasoning, but it's just a trojan to get acceptance of cameras. In the UK they ALREADY use the CCTV system to surveil people. It's not an "if" or theoretical. They ALREADY abuse the system against citizens. It's a nationwide "Flock" system. It's not safer. 210 2
