Something a little different to do in Amsterdam 🎨🇳🇱 STRAAT Museum in my home neighbourhood of NDSM is one of my favourites. 180+ works of street art, with the collection created on-site by artists from around the world. And the art continues outside across NDSM. #Amsterdam #NDSM

Yes I do the same. Always aim for Dutch, then EU. I’ve also been avoiding American brands (especially large multinationals). Have you used Made O Meter? It’s a Danish website that allows you to search or take a photo of products/brands and it tells you the country origin, owner, and manufacturer!

One thing I love about shopping locally in Amsterdam: European and Dutch products aren’t a niche choice, they’re just… there. Choosing local keeps more of our spending circulating closer to home. A small choice, but multiplied across a city it matters. 🇪🇺 (Brewery is Uiltje for those wondering!)🍻

It is a crazy statistic but I believe it. Having lived in the Netherlands and the UK, I am happy to bike here in Amsterdam nearly anywhere… whereas in the UK I’ve never felt comfortable doing so. Proper infrastructure and investment I believe can have a major impact on this stat.

Incredible to experience Zandvoort’s final Dutch Grand Prix 🇳🇱🏎️ I respect the decision to end on a high rather than continue simply because they could. Knowing when something no longer fits your long-term strategy takes vision. Next chapter: Formula E in 2027 ⚡️🇪🇺

Absolutely agreed. In order for pubic transport to work, it has to work for everyone. And cities/countries have to incentivise everyone to use it in a way that does not add unnecessary costs on families… where it becomes the obvious choice for transport.

I love the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam Centraal 🚆 Cities that prioritise public transport don’t just reduce reliance on cars. They create social spaces that foster connection and everyday city life. Great public transport can become part of the social fabric of a city. 🇪🇺 #Amsterdam

Absolutely! If this summer has taught us anything, it’s that we need to get better at storing rainwater locally. The more cities that embrace the sponge city concept, the better prepared we’ll collectively be for extreme weather. Amsterdam has made some great steps; I hope more cities follow suit! 🌱

Had a few errands to run around Amsterdam this morning. Did everything by bike and was back home in under an hour. It still amazes me how much better everyday life feels when a city is built around proximity rather than cars - homes, shops, services and workplaces all mixed together. 🇳🇱🇪🇺 #urbanism

Absolutely. We’re so entrenched after years of US dominance in many of these sectors that building European alternatives will take time, but we can do it. Small changes add up, and collectively we can build a much stronger and more technologically independent Europe. 🇪🇺
