Haggling, including negative propaganda about the competition, was invented in Persia.

Oldest marketplaces in the world were in Persia. They pretty much invented haggling, including "negging" the competition.

Thank you, beautiful drawing! A fun distraction from this weekend's news, but my bday is still a couple weeks away. Cancer sun sign, baby😃!

Everytime i have used starlink on a united flight my phone acts weird until i reboot it. It kinda sucks that you can't even get the free texting to work without activating the starlink connection. Thankfully its still a minority of my flights.

You can't 'game' bluesky engagement, only reason most folks use social media unfortunately

I used to mod appledos... it fit into 8k of ram in 6502 machine code. Not what I am suggesting... I am suggesting a nostalgia play with a hardware platform competing with Steam's Linux box. Apple's kernel is Linux based. Unix is still proprietary and only runs on mainframes.

John Kadlecik @johnkadlecik.bsky.social · 09/03/2026

Apple should relaunch the Apple II as an optimized Linux box, something to keep up with raspberry pi in the hobbyist scene (I dislike the word market when talking about people)... Call it Apple IIx? Call the Linux distro AppleDOS (originally open-source)? Sell customer support subscriptions?

I got grok to proudly claim it redefines 'spam' any way it chooses.

"X"itter (pronounced shitter) is such a pit of depravity. Every time I go back I find normal, usually left-biased posts labeled as probably spam and hidden. When I ask grok why, it plays dumb. Way worse than anything the 'Twiiter Files' revealed.

Also, there is are several folks from Annapolis on my follower list, and we are all here trying to build out Bluesky with interactive content. Oops, scrolling your page I see you don't seem to get any traction here, and you seem to think using the word "retarded" makes you a culture warrior, so bye

John Kadlecik @johnkadlecik.bsky.social · 21/02/2026

I don't get why you gotta yuck my yum, here. You seem overly focused on prestige. I'm not gonna brag about pay, but I made double my guarantee, which means everyone was happy, cheap tickets for fans, full house for venue, chance for artist(me) to develop another show style and push equipment edges.

John Kadlecik @johnkadlecik.bsky.social · 21/02/2026

Ive been living in this area for over 15 years, but don't play locally much, trying to fix that. FYI, this show announced 2 weeks ago. I think i filled in for a cancellation. Try not to obsess on "appearances." Art is art.

Allgood, no worries. The beauty of this type of social media is that it is discussion and topic driven more than follower or engagement driven. You can get answers here from strangers/non-followers on any topic. But poking for lulz gets you blocked pretty quickly.

Really? So, uh... where did you come to bluesky from? Trolling doesn't work here. I generally get authentic responses from people interested in discussing a topic here. Or nothing. Fine with either, but I'm about to block you.

#booksky I started into Polostan by Neal Stephenson recently. Pretty different from his books I have read so far. Still distopian settings, but early 20th century historic instead of future speculative.
