The Video Vender, in Perryton, TX. We only had one copy of any title, until WITNESS. We had 3, and my boss marked the rental cases as Witness I, Witness II, Witness III. I spent so much time explaining to folks that these weren’t sequels. “Naw, I need Witness I. I heard Witness I was the good’un.”

This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source. Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

Just heard Virginia Visker passed. She is a true original and pound for pound the biggest supporter of weird art in Iowa City. When I and a few friends started making and selling comics zines in the early 90s, she was one of the first to sell them. Rest in power, Ginny.
