Yes but there was very little evidence of a plan for business or 'strategy for industry' despite them spouting that phrase often during their last year or so once they realized that the game was up.

Nope. Got one of them, thanks. In fact, I'm on my 2nd already. My Fisher-Price Starter Air-fryer was o.k. as a budget option for a while. Then, it packed-up so I got a half-decent Ninja which has 4-5 settings.

The worst thing for U.K. is for enough voters to vote in a reform govt which lashes about for 18 months or so before descending into farce. I saw an article earleir that said that U.K. should begin to embrace EU again as Canada is rapidly becoming its New Best Friend. Plus they have a proper...

Yes, there's not enough jeopardy, not enough of a compulsion to take their job actually representing constituents & turning-up in the Commons seriously enough, allowing them to preen & prance in front of a wider constituency on telly or radio, thus making them seem more popular.

Dover and Portsmouth have seen another round of anti-migrant protests. But this time something is different: black-clad, masked activists, an organised “Christian army”. Is Britain’s far right developing a new model of mobilisation?

Ffs. Well, it’s up to us to make sure that their grubby ‘investment’ is a phenomenal waste of money. Reform is a shitshow of crooks and idiots who have no idea how to behave, let alone govern. The majority of us who loathe them must unite to keep them out of power forever.

What an arrogantly vile man Harborne is. How patronising to describe his entitled buying up of our democracy as ‘philanthropy’. Get over yourself and go and build some hospitals, fund children out of poverty, eradicate disease… Sticking your grubby wealth in Farage’s pockets can only do us harm.

Harborne calls his latest bung to Farage a “philanthropic gift to the country”. Philanthropy isn’t funding racists and climate deniers. Or funnelling cash into deregulation and removal of our rights so tax-avoiding billionaires can profiteer from the chaos. That’s just corruption. We don’t want it.

Lowell passes about 100 miles west of Hawaii tonight. Hurricane warning for Kauai and Niihau, statewide emergency, up to 10 inches of rain in the forecast. Same week, LA got its first measurable rain in months, in September, off Marie from 770 miles out. Climate change is the threat multiplier.

Govt, politicians, rightwing media… you decided that Brexit meant you needed to exclusively appeal to a stereotypical “red wall”/“left behind” voter who you insisted was anti-immigration because it suited you to pin their disaffection onto immigrants rather than onto you…

Any politician calling to leave the ECHR is lying about what that will achieve. It won’t solve any problem or improve our lives It will make us worse off and remove our rights. Just like Brexit. The ECHR belongs to us all. It’s not theirs to take. Please sign www.europeanmovement.co.uk/echr-petition

Plus, the dear leader has gas-lit a gullible U.K. electorate by talk of declaring a State of Emergency if he's elected. Here's a chance for Burnham to respond on Monday with a robust denunciation such utter twaddle. And badenoch, too, if she's got her wits about her.

What's slightly more entertaining is that the non-dom-for-U.K.-tax puppet-masters can fund what they want but they can't control the players on the pitch here in Blighty. Their venality, mis-information & dis-information will hopefully be their undoing.
