iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Goodbye, Echo Show! Hello, Apple HomeView!

Reading about RJ Mitte, the Breaking Bad actor who passed away. He leaves a lasting legacy of disability representation on screen! Too often, we're an invisible underclass, and I'm reminded of my school drama teacher who always encouraged me...

From Daleks to Spider-Man! It’s an annual Comic Con & Gaming Festival at Westpoint Exeter! A few years ago, I applied for a media pass. One day I’ll attend.

Carrie is a chilling remake of Stephen King's horror classic that leans into modern social media fears on Prime Video! #Carrie

Happy James Bond Day to those who celebrate! On Her Majesty's Secret Service (OHMSS) remains my all-time favourite instalment! I'll never forget watching a rerun on ITV and playing with Action Man/Action Force toys in the early eighties! #JamesBond

Spooky season continues with Doctor Who: Horror of Fang Rock! The TARDIS team is trapped inside a confined space (a lighthouse) and stalked by a shapeshifting alien, a recurring theme in many of my favourite scary stories! #DoctorWho

Watching Multi-Coloured Saturdays on BBC iPlayer! I never managed to phone through to Swap Shop to speak to Tom Baker (Doctor Who) or Noel Edmunds to swap something (no idea what) for Big Trak!

50 years ago, Multi-Coloured Swap Shop! Every Saturday, I would tune in to see the stars of Doctor Who, Star Wars and many more meet Posh Paws! Happy Fri-yay!

An annual flu vaccination achievement unlocked! As always, my arm feels like a wookie pulled it out of its socket and a lightsaber glanced off it!

And like that, it's October! The spooky season and the anniversary of a life-changing childhood trauma.

It’s the autumn equinox in the northern hemisphere! Bats, hornets and spiders in the garden herald the spooky season.

I'm seeing more websites swamped with ads! While ads are increasingly a primary revenue stream, they make navigation and reading difficult, if not impossible, without an ad blocker.

Doctor Who is for all seasons, but for me it’s synonymous with the darker days of autumn! Rewatching Attack of the Cybermen after picking up a sealed copy of the limited edition season 22 Blu-ray box set for a fair price! This Whovian had a teenage crush on Peri! #DoctorWho

Resuming an informal Tobe Hooper spooky season with Lifeforce, featuring spectacular special effects… And a soundtrack by Henry Mancini.

An uncle’s ex-wife has passed away. Whilst we gradually lost contact over the years, I have cherished childhood memories of my former aunt, from playing Sorry! whilst I was a patient in the children’s hospital to seeing Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back!
