It didn't occur to me for years that pink Pink Floyd's music is incredibly depressing. And it gets more and more depressing as you go through their catalogue. I think that's why I don't listen to them much any more.

Maybe you're their biggest fan? Are you into other math rock bands?

Yes they have been around for years and it's only now that they have become amazingly popular. I think their popularity will wane in the next couple of years unless they transcend math rock.

I've never been able to shape myself to the world, I suppose. That is why I was forced out of all my jobs and now can't work for anyone.

I like the turntable too! Love seeing other people's setups.

Tomorrow we celebrate the end of the kitchen fitting (apart from the tiles). It has taken me three months and one week. Some of it was delays for plumbing, floor grinder hire etc. I will be very relieved.

Right. It hasn't really helped me at all. I'm glad it's been good for you.

Yeah...I do wonder about that but I've always been into math rock. Either they are going to do a Daft Punk and get absolutely massive or they will be out of fashion next year. (Or they will implode with the success). I just hope they go out of fashion but keep doing the music.

Richard E Grant's performance must be his worst. It was just awful.

I presume then by your manner that you don't want Palestinians to have a home?

We watched Hudson Hawk last night for film club and it is the worst film I've ever seen. No redeeming features. It's so bad it's terrible. I can't believe we saw this at the cinema. The script was so painful I wanted to turn it off. #movies

Mum and dad are very kindly getting me this Dave Holland "Freedom Call" box set for Christmas. It's beautifully recorded and I can't wait to hear it on vinyl. This is the first vinyl box set I've got for absolutely years. #jazzsky #jazz #vinyl
