Hoping to get Bayeux Tapestry tickets, but will it impress as much as the Codex Amiatinus which I saw in 2019 on its first time back in Britain since 716. The early complete bible had been in a N Italian abbey and was only recognised in the late C19 as a Jarrow bible that had been sent to the Pope.

So, last night a train journey this morning was priced at £36. This morning? It's magically £55 for same seat on the same almost-certainly-empty train. What is the point? All that happens is the train is definitely empty, and the rail company gets no revenue at all.

This looks interesting projectionsnyc.com/911/?src=day1 25 years ago I watched in the office near the Tower of London. Took ages to reach a friend in Boston who was always flying to NY, and I avoided the train home. The bus seemed an unlikely target - until it had to cross Tower Bridge, that is.

The current problem is so serious that the message is merited, but just as important is getting us all talking about the alarm system. They're not at the Cry Wolf stage. But next time, I won't close the laptop and mute the tv before I realise (two minutes later) that Andy's on the phone.

Yes about hard cases, and it was why I avoided specific cases and wrote about criteria for denying early release. I think the law already treats violence against emergency workers differently, so I am surprised that more granularity hasn't been added to the criteria. No good choices.

We all know it's the Tories' failure to manage prison capacity that forces the Burnham government to release some prisoners early. Murder is one of its criteria to deny early release. But would the prison system collapse if one criterion was a conviction for any violence against police?
