Excited to join this year's LPS 🇪🇺, and happy to chat about a convenient way to integrate climate data in deep learning pipelines (Tue, Posters, Section L-M-N).

Great talk on a deep learning application for ecology by Johannes Dollinger (@johdolgha.bsky.social) from the Uni Zürich! Main takeway: deep learning products should not primarily be used to replace ecological research but can rather help guide it (e.g., by identifying priority areas) 💻🎯🥾

🤖🌱 The abstract submission to the ESA Living Planet Symposium was extended by two days until Tuesday (Dec 3rd), so take your chance: lps25.esa.int/ Especially session A.02.02 "Terrestrial and Freshwater Biodiversity" will be interesting for the AI for conservation conversation.

🌱🤖 Thanks to the data collection efforts by (citizen) scientists, we can model species distributions to new levels of granularity. Check out our work on extracting useful information for it from satellite imagery: github.com/ecovision-uzh/sat-sinr
