Really great news on the Reading & Annotating front these days. @zotero 7 (Beta) just got a huge feature bump with first support for EPUB reading and annotation. Having this integrated the same ways a PDFs is really making research so much easier. #feature t.co/r4DyafAsj1

Available for beta testing: Updated reader with EPUB/snapshot support and new annotation types
We're very excited to share something we've been working on for a while: a major upgrade to Zotero's reading and annotation capabilities.

Hunting down the source of that fantastic quote lead me to the wonderful essay by Lorde: „The Master‘s Tools Will Never Dismantle the Master‘s House“. The paragraph just after the one @cyetain‘s quoting is also beautiful: x.com/cyetain/status/14299585162870…

An old, but good one. Very often, scary situations in life have to do with perspective, too. “The odds of a plane crashing from turbulence are essentially zero, so I sit and enjoy it. It’s like a ride at an amusement park.” - Seth Godin, Linchpin

I like the idea, and think a complementary perspective to look at would be to both frame it with „pace layering“ in mind, yet to also look at the underlying question as a „vector target“ instead of the „outcome target“ that framing it as an end state of „where to be“ is. t.co/z7FxpLdTWZ

Direct democracy in Switzerland
Of all the world’s democracies, Switzerland has the most extensive elements of direct democracy. The historical roots of this political structure lie in the country’s relatively well-developed educational system, and the rural uprisings of the 19th century.

I love the digital edition of @NoemaMag produced by @GoodFolkAgency. My only gripe is that it lacks some HTML metadata (namely: author, date, others?) such that systems like @zotero‘s „Save“ at www.zotero.org/save would be able to extract *all* relevant info. 🤗

IMHO the design squiggle (t.co/ZDQ8L7AVoV) is one of the best visual representations of this important aspect of the design process. It also means one has to be able to live through iterations of ambiguity until, eventually, a clear(er) problem-solution space can emerge. t.co/YWv...
