I asked Gemini to create a 50000 word book from old articles I had laying around. Some 200 of them, all 1000 words or more. It did a credible job with a Q&A style book. Which was only 7500 words long. Imagine showing up at the editors office and delivering less than 20% of what you promised.

Our AI friends balk at providing instructions for how to disrupt Internet operations. But when I ask them to tell me how to identify the location of the nodes supplying Internet to my building, including electricity supply, they are singularily helpful. Not that the bad guys did not know already.

Google Translate used to be pretty good. Even when translating Swedish and Japanese, you got the right word. Must have had a decent dictionary database behind it. But recently, it has degraded, in a way that makes it hard to believe AI is not behind it. I thought things would get better with AI?
