Travelling to San Francisco and LA next week, and I have hired a pickup truck to get the true American experience. I may need a small ladder.

The VSCode documentary is really thrilling, edge-of-your-seat stuff.

For what its worth, I've had good experience using github actions and workspaces to port to macOS. But for graphic design, I have no experience at all, I can only wish you luck!

Forza Horizon 6 has all the same problems as 5 with the dialogue, the loading times, the auction house, the modifications, the car spam, car feel, the livery and design duplicate spam; but im still mindlessly sinking hours in to it.

ghidra continues to be a powerful but painful tool. everything is so unintuitive.

I've written code to just try all combinations, it took ages to write and my biggest breakthroughs have all been from visualising the hex in different ways rather than brute force.

I'm still yet to see an actual car body, only "sub parts" interior, maybe a wheel, a rim. but that could be because I have focused on these SCNE files so far.

i got a dump of the game, googled for how they do it for mods, learnt about QuickBMS, dumped the PAK files, found the zlib markers and dumped them, poked through some hex structs, learnt 360 was PPC Big Endian, which let me compare compressed vs uncompressed zlib sizes as a sanity check.

i randomly decided to see if i could pull pgr4 model files out by blindly reverse engineering the file format. i’ve never done anything like this before so it's not gone quickly. or well.
