Foggy morning view from Taylor’s Hill in RVA
Fog in the distance shrouds some buildings downtown, with converted warehouse apartments in Shockoe Bottom in the foreground. The view is from the top of a hill, with crumbling concrete sidewalks and small purple flowers dotting the side of the hill. Some questionably-alive trees frame the shot.

Today's Tiny Cool Thing: 1. apparently I don't take photos on Tuesdays, but I do take photos at lunchtime 2. oop, looks like something went wrong when I migrated my old photo library to Apple Photos a while ago… I'm missing a year!
A heatmap and a bar graph showing when the photos in my photo library were taken. Weekends are clear favorites, with twice as many photos as weekdays. Tuesdays are slightly lower. The heatmap shows that I take photos all the waking time on weekends, but not as much during working hours on weekdays, except lunchtime.Hard-to-see dots showing the number of photos taken per day, with a year missing in the middle.

Today's Tiny Cool Thing: I use Obsidian for notes, and sometimes I need to take notes that I don't want people to be able to see over my shoulder. So I have this Raycast snippet that adds a div to my notes that hides the text until I select the element. Today I added a fun blur to it.
Before: a short black box with a white border, and a taller black box with a white border. After: same-sized boxes, but closer to the color of the dark background, with rounded corners and a dimmer border. The text within the box is blurry, but unreadable.

A photograph out a window from a stairwell leads to a high-contrast jumble of lines and angles. Outside the window, you can see overhead rail supports, an elevated train track, and the blur of cars and a truck on an even-higher-up overpass. The interior lights from the stairwell paint contrasting lines onto the window, with the gaps between railings adding grids of light to the center of the frame, and a diagonal light cutting across the left side. Finally, the photographer is lit from behind, reflected in the window, near the top right.
