Make it work, make it right, make it fast. Front and center at my desk. Never fails.

Massive updates to my agentic engineering workflow Spectre (free, open source plugin for Claude Code & Codex). Github 🔗 below - your ⭐️ would be much appreciated! Here are the big updates:

Custom Autocomplete UI for files, skills, mcps, shell commands, etc. was one of the first features I built into Subspace from the earliest days. I improve it constantly. It has gotten really really good, and fast. Here's one very obvious example (video) of how much better it is

Shipped a few quick QoL updates to SPECTRE - light mode plan so you can use /spectre-plan for any task - /spectre:plan now 2 gates (high level design + final) instead of 4. Less friction, better results. 🚀 repo 🔗 below

I essentially use Subspace now the way I used to use Obsidian. Pre-AI, everything I ever worked on - work or personal life - started with an Obsidian note. Now, everything starts with a workspace in an existing project or a new one.

SPECTRE (the product building workflow for product builders) has been updated to 5.2. Better results, more autonomy, less markdown spelunking. I found that I stopped reading through the full plan just due to markdown fatigue - so I had to solve that problem.

memory you can see, and memory you can control

- creating new projects/workspaces is insanely fast now - git worktrees are now *optional* for workspaces (CMD+I to isolate) - you can now easily create workspaces where memory builds over time product strategy, styleguide, architecture discussions -- like threads with super smart colleagues

Joe Fernandez @joenandez.com · 16/05/2026
Subspace free now lets you access unlimited projects/workspaces! Premium gets you automatic background memory capture, agentic memory search, session memory injection, artifact sharing/publishing, auto-draft commits/PRs, and tons more coming.

lol my autonomous amazon-style product agent experiment just filed a Sev 2 out of nowhere and has stopped work until I respond. we did not discuss this process

So I hear HTML is all the rage? In @subspacehq, we love using HTML w/agents so much we didn't just make it possible, we made it a priority. Have agents create HTML prototypes, presentations, marketing pages, you name it. Shareable HTML Artifacts coming this week! 🔗 to the live page below!

I haven't really mentioned much but I've continued to improve SPECTRE since we released it publicly a few months back There have been a bunch of bug fixes and token efficiencies, but the key new things • Codex support w/complete parity to CC version • Improved plan flow w/high level design gate

quit the app, not your agents Subspace saves & restores your workspace layout and agent sessions, so you pick right up where you left off. even if you left your agent running all night.

Easily eyeball dozens of agent conversations and their latest status w/convo toggle in Subspace's sidebar. Agents report a one line status on every exchange so you always know where each chat is at.
000
Joe Fernandez @joenandez.com · 04/05/2026
jot down your own quick notes/todos while your agents burn tokens

All your Agents, shared Memory. Memory belongs to your work, not the agent.

sometimes you just want a fast agent for fast things

You don't have to figure out how to set up OpenClaw to have an Agent that remembers stuff. @subspacehq builds memory automatically in the background when you use Claude Code, Codex, or OpenCode. No additional setup or memory management required.

html prototypes are the way to go when exploring UX with Claude Code/Codex. So added this nice little creature comfort today to Subspace • click on .html in chat • opens directly to file • option to open in browser

Click UI elements or highlight copy in your web app. Leave comments. Lots of em. Your comments links to the file, the line number, component tree, css properties. Agent reads it, fixes it, moves on. Web Dev 🤝 Subspace

5. That was the # of Claude Codes I could run in Terminal before losing track of the work. If you want to stay professionally relevant in the Agent Era, you need to learn how to sanely manage MANY parallel agents. Step 1. Use the right tool.

Joe Fernandez @joenandez.com · 19/04/2026
Agent autocomplete in the terminal is just awful. So we built a better one. Files, directories, commands, skills, mcps, subagents, double // away (real time, not sped up)

Joe Fernandez @joenandez.com · 18/04/2026
Reason #248 why I could never go back to a terminal or IDE My entire command line history & aliases accessible from CMD+K from anywhere. Once you CMD+K your life is changed forever.

In Subspace, you can see all your Claude Code/Codex chats, terminals, files, docs, and more in a single place. No more 12 window chaos. Some big updates this release -- Ship Loop, Timeline, an updated Tasks Board, and tons of ux polish & bug fixes. 🔗 Link and more below!

The Claw is the Law Coming soon to @subspacehq * run your @openclaw agent(s) from any workspace or project * view and resume OpenClaw sessions you started from that workspace * create new OpenClaw sessions and run them side-by-side on different tasks

I'm a career technical PM now Founder and I've spent the last year building products every single day w/AI coding agents. Today, I'm open sourcing SPECTRE - the agentic coding workflow we use and iterate on daily to build @subspacehq and @newjunehq at Codename.

I told Claude Code it was our new Performance Engineering Lead and gave it its own workspace in @SubspaceHQ Gave it complete agency to design and build whatever is needed to help us become the most performance desktop app in the industry.

runs claude headless in a loop with a dedicated prompt to 1) read the tasks/context docs, 2) read the build_progress. md doc, 3) pick ONE task and implement it, 4) full verification suite, 5) update build_progress .md, 6) STOP. Ran for 6 hours on a task last night.

potentially ill advised but I need them SessionStart hooks for Codex.

Huge props to the folks that built Raycast's command palette interface. Took a lot of inspiration from that fantastic product.

Bringing my kids drawings to life with AI is so much fun and the kids absolutely love it. My daughter’s “land of Sinba” - she’s creating a whole story.

Legit, we're going to need Claude the Code Reviewer to get harsher and look deeper. This is getting automatic now with Sonnet 4.5/Codex and our established workflows! 🤣

Excited to see what Anthropic’s 4.5 model can do, but I have to admit I find these releases to be somewhat unsettling. Like… it’s already SO good, and these releases are just going to keep coming.

tldr: I got sick of waiting for CC so I created a tool that let me work across 3-5 Claude Code sessions in yolo mode simultaneously. After using it for a few days, I can clearly see the future of work - less waiting, more productivity, higher quality AI output, more time spent on what matters most.

Last night vibe coded a mini apps for Golf practice games -- super fun. So many golfers have their own little mini games they create for practice. Would be cool to let people vibe code their own games from within the app. Make it easy to use gps, accel/gyro, voice, make it easy to share, etc.
