Rainfall totals were certainly hit-or-miss... The heaviest appears to have fallen around Mountain Home while others ended up with basically zero rain. Other than a few lingering sprinkles and drizzle through the weekend, this should be about it. #ARwx #ARStormTeam

CHILLY MORNINGS🥶 Our coolest temps of the season so far are just around the corner... Afternoon highs may be in the lower 80s next week with sunshine. But morning temps could drop into the mid and lower 50s--perhaps upper 40s in northern Arkansas! #ARwx #ARStormTeam

Scattered showers and storms build through the night into Friday morning, bringing much needed rain to much of the state. Some will still miss out on this rainfall, though... Then as we head into the weekend, we dry out and turn cooler. #ARwx #ARStormTeam

An updated drought monitor was released this morning... And it doesn't look good! Hopefully this late-week rainfall will help some... But much of next week looks dry as well. #ARwx #ARStromTeam

FINALLY🌧️ Be prepared for a soggy Friday morning drive... Most of central & NW AR will have some rain to start the day, becoming lighter by afternoon. Unfortunately, many areas will miss out on the most beneficial rain. Much of this will fall in the NW part of the state. #ARwx #ARStormTeam

FRIDAY🌧️ Our best chance of rain will come Friday morning, perhaps lingering into the midday hours... Most of this will fall over central and northwest Arkansas, perhaps up to 3-4" in spots. Meanwhile in southeast AR, amounts will be minimal. Then we dry out into the weekend. #ARwx #ARStormTeam

We're kicking off our October with a little more heat... Afternoon highs on Thursday could be within a degree or two of a record high! Then a cold front arrives, bringing better rain chances for Friday before turning cooler and gradually drying out for the weekend. #ARwx #ARStormTeam

FRIDAY & SATURDAY👀 The latest HRRR model is rather generous with rainfall coverage early Fri. morning... But even though some showers linger into Sat, it won't be near as much. Some spots could see more than 2 inches of rain while others end up with less than a half inch. #ARwx #ARStormTeam

Absolutely insane... Little Rock reached 95 degrees this afternoon on the last day of September. Lower 90s will linger into the first day of October just before rain chances return, easing the heat into the weekend. #ARwx #ARStormTeam

More heat is in store for the last day of September, likely locking this in as the hottest September on record for Little Rock! Then the rain chances ramp up... Totals will be limited in spots, but we'll take any bit of beneficial moisture we can get! #ARwx #ARStormTeam

FRI & SAT⛈️ A late-week cold front will bring some much-needed rain followed by cooler temps... But amounts still appear to be light in most cases. But models do show some picking up ~1-2 inches between Fri & Sat. A couple storms could be strong on Fri, but that risk is very low. #ARwx #ARStormTeam

It's just after 2 p.m. and we're already in the lower 90s... Expect more of the same through mid-week before a front slowly approaches. We'll have more about this coming up on #ASTLive starting at 3 on KARKFOX16+. #ARwx #ARStormTeam

We're clear and cool overnight into Tuesday morning. But temps heat up to the lower 90s during the afternoon hours, likely through mid-week. Then a cool front approaches into late-week, bringing a few showers and storms before easing the heat into the weekend. #ARwx #ARStormTeam

LATE THIS WEEK 👀 An incoming cool front may bring some better rain chances as we wrap up the week... But amounts may be disappointing. Models now suggest Fri. and Sat. will bring the best chances before temps cool off a bit early next week. Stay with the #ARStormTeam for updates. #ARwx #ARStormTeam

MONDAY MORNING 🚙💼 Most of us will be dry to start the day, but a few brief showers will be possible south and west of the Metro during the early morning hours. These won't last long. By the afternoon, sunshine becomes more dominant and temps reach the upper 80s. #ARwx #ARStormTeam

HOT SEPTEMBER🥵 When you average out all the afternoon and morning temps, this has been BY FAR the warmest Sept. on record here in LR. And considering we still have highs in the lower 90s through the last days of October, I think it's pretty much guaranteed to keep that ranking. #ARwx #ARStormTeam

Joel Young @joeloffair.bsky.social · 27/09/2026
A sprinkle or shower may be possible through Monday morning... But overall, the week ahead looks warmer and largely dry as rain passes us by to our west. But next wknd, there are signs that we could get some more widespread beneficial moisture! We're keeping our fingers crossed. #ARwx #ARStormTeam

Joel Young @joeloffair.bsky.social · 27/09/2026
RAIN CHANCES📈 While most of this upcoming week's rain will be focused well to our west.. Models still show the rain eventually getting here at some point! The question is timing. As of now, the weekend looks more favorable. But parts of western AR could get some a little sooner. #ARStormTeam #ARwx

NEXT WEEK👀 Models continue to suggest that next week's heaviest rainfall will stay to our west, perhaps clipping parts of NW Arkansas. That would leave much of the state dry with perhaps just a few occasional showers each day. Stay with the #ARStormTeam for updates through the coming days. #ARwx
