So apparently, before SNAP, there was a “commodities distribution” system. The U.S. government bought surplus food from farmers and gave it to people in need through local distribution centers. You could get items like flour, rice, peanut butter and powdered milk. Democrats eliminated this program.

So apparently, the U.S. Senate has unanimously passed the “No Tax On Tips Act”- a bill giving tax breaks of up to $25,000.00 on reported tips, but only for U.S. taxpayers earning under $160K. Finally, maybe it’s a sign that real progress for working U.S. Citizens is possible.
