It's a spare bit from the Mutalith Vortex Beast, and I used a dremel to cut some "cracks" into the armour. That sounds like a fun activity for me to try! Good way to get some more varied bases at least rather than my current dry desert recipe!

I tried a bit of kitbash on my forgefiend to get the chaos vibe. Kind of regretting not trying out some epoxy modelling now.

I know you said that you tried Pebble watches as a solution for the problem Index 01 solves, but for you that wasn't ergonomic. Do you think these features could end up landing for the watches still?

It was so fun watching all the submissions come in, and all the votes affect the rankings! Loving this piece someone submitted and looking forward to the next. I think the drawing function could do with some love, undo button and colour picker seem important. #pebble #repebble

@ericmigi.com Thanks for making tech that motivated me to build things. I love the toy projects that bring people close, like this watch face. Submit a small doodle, and vote on doodles to end up on peoples wrists for a week. apps.repebble.com/the-tile_4c6... @repebble.com #pebble #repebble

Clean approach, I like the point about running locally in test containers. I think this flow could benefit using build tags rather than if statements, that way you only ship prod code in the prod artifact. What approach would you take for running a service locally that depends on another service?

Serverless doesn't always have to mean vendor "lock-in".

I had a requirement for something Cloudflare tunnel ish to expose my Home Assistant server. I ended up however going for a Hetzner VPS with tailscale and nginx. Gave me more control to log in and see what's going on if something is wrong.

Interesting workflow! I'm sort of onboard, but my question is how messy is it once you get one/more of your branches merged to main? My guess with this jj wizardry is that there's a single rebase command that would put your other branches/megamerge on top of main?

Does the course use anyhow for error handling? I'm no rust developer, but I've heard that's the "production code" way of error handling in rust. I briefly tried it and it did make it feel like I was fighting against the type system less.

I'd say clamp, I think if a function has such a specific and simple job it's okay to not be spread out step by step like restrict. It's not that unreadable either.
