The Misconception of Disabling Paste on Password Fields
Blocking clipboard paste on password fields does not thwart attackers. It sabotages password managers and ruins authentication security.

Few days ago, I got a new domain for a product I'm currently working on, and today gave it to my network Admin AI agency with a request to set up Firebase hosting and email. Link to code repo and within ~30 mins all (!) was done. Everything. While I was coding. #BuildInPublic

Thinking whether I totally went overboard today with the implementation of my tool. And best of all, it's actually working. Even smoother than expected. Probably there are still a few things missing. Feels overwhelming at various times. #BuildInPublic

Ahhh, the specialties of Windows development. Had to dig deep in order to get a few things sorted also considering that another tool I'm using happily interfered with the process and I had to be more specific in the coding. Linux was easier to implement. #BuildInPublic

A bit more progress on my network utility tool. It's now working smoothly across network boundaries like VPN and all kinds of masquerade firewall handling. Resilient to peer IP address changes. Was able to exchange between clients of two different sites. #BuildInPublic

🚨 Updates for custom statusline in Antigravity You have full freedom of choice between customizable scripts and a compiled native binary, depending on whether you prioritize quick script editing or maximum runtime speed. - Bash - PowerShell - Native Binary (C#) - JavaScript

That's how an update for Antigravity shows up on Windows. No idea how or even whether it works on macOS similarly, for sure it does not provide this kind of indicator on Linux.

So weird... Approximately 24 hrs of Emtel Airbox at my place. And that's after hours of experimental placements and arrangements. Currently, facing east with no obstruction next door (vacant plot of land). Using two external antennas. 30 Mbps package. 🤔🙄

I'm looking for .NET projects using SQLite that I could swap the original nuget dependency with Turso in order to surface bugs, gaps in features, and performance issues. Reply with a link to the project I should try wiring the .NET Turso bindings into 👇

This is such a shame. That's on a 30 Mbps @EmtelWorld Airbox 4G/LTE connection. The box is completely healthy as tested in another location. Whew, going to terminate it by the end of the month. Totally not worth the struggle and cost.

What a joyful situation to voice prompt Antigravity CLI as my network engineer and system administrator. Currently I instructed two instances - local and remote - to migrate 5 Ghost instances between systems, target MySQL podman, different Node.js versions, through VPN tunnels. 🍿

At midnight was a change of Cell ID, so a different tower with less participants, and the rates went instantly up. This looks clearly like a congestion issue in that area. Around 6.15 hrs rates went down again, and then I disconnected the device to use/test in QB.

Jochen Kirstätter (JoKi) @jochen.kirstaetter.name · 02/10/2026
Exactly same equipment now in QB. This is clearly an issue with tower distribution and network infrastructure in Flic en Flac, Emtel World Maybe time to add some more capacity to cater for the increased number of internet users in that area?

Jochen Kirstätter (JoKi) @jochen.kirstaetter.name · 01/10/2026
Man, that kind of sucks... Did a 24 hrs monitoring for a reanimated 4G/LTE router using a data package by Emtel World and it's just not working in this neighbourhood. Counter-checked with a mobile and getting similarly bad numbers. Bummer!

It kind of looks like a flux capacitor needing 1.21 GW energy to launch into the future. Although it's not the distinct Y-shaped arrangement of spokes, it's neatly indicating the utility's purpose and functionality (hopefully) Drafts in light and dark mode. #BuildInPublic

Yes, it's completely operating on its own since after the migration. Running the site solely on Markdown editor and DocFX generation. There's no tie to the original Ghost platform. I use VSCode and Obsidian for authoring, writing, editing, etc and then build a new version to publish.
