Hi K, Thanks for the kind words! The pose was 20 minutes and if I had more time I would have added more, that’s what I like about the shorter poses, making decisions about what catches your eye.

Thx tee, Yes it must have been the angle of the sun in the morning along with the different clouds together, very sharp and crisp with the salt water scent coming in with the breeze.

Thx tee, I think that it was overcast helped pop the greens and saturate the dark of the pine trunk, the little twisty trunk is an Ash sapling, good spotting the lichen on it, it may be an older tree than it looks, living under the big pine.

Lovely poem. With the contrast of moving into autumn and wonderful photo of the gardens with azaleas in bloom!

In the woods, after the rain. The young tree reminds me of lightning. #woods #trees #forest #ash #pine #maine

That would be a long walk! Yes holiday in Phoenix such different colors in the earth and flora and long horizons, wicked hot tho , 106 degrees was a change. Luckily missed all the big winds and surf from the nor’easter. Just getting beneficial rains. Have a good week!

Hi tee, thanks for the thoughts about the ferns going, some smaller ones in sheltered areas around rocks seem to get through the winter and always a hopeful sign to see them all shoot up and unfurl in the spring. Finally getting some rain ☔️

I think it was the wet spring and no late frosts that helped, they also have peaches, which do ok for Maine, but those are small from lack of rain (but they smell great, mmm. Peach ice cream!)

Yes, this is at a public park that has a community garden attached and about 50 ft away are a few beehives, good for everyone!

No, no I did get the drifting downwards of the poem at the end. Just remembering that it’s early September and brought back the early days of first year in college. Labor Day weekend here, have a good one. Nice pic of the landing on the river Avon!

I heard the old Earth, Wind & Fire song “September “ and it brought back a lot of those memories. Catchy tune!

Thanks tee, glad you connected with the photo of the birds, it is sort of painterly and the compressed view and branches frame the birds, making a peaceful vignette.

Thanks Luis, nice to see the sun light up those intense colors on the flowers.

Thanks tee, 🙏 the birds are very elegant and the telephoto focus makes the darker leaves graphic and almost like a frame. Nice photo of the big old oak tree in your neighborhood!
