Two of my works in progress. The first is a striped Musselburgh hat using leftover sock yarns. The second is also a hat, the “Sip” pattern. It’s a very nice stranded colourwork hat and I’m making it inside out to practice Portuguese knitting. I took classes recently. #showmeyourknits 🧶

A hat which will end up double-layered, hand knit in stripes of socks yarn.

Two rustic yarns in dark brown and blue, being made into a hat. It is done in stockinette but purled inside out Portugese style. The yarn is from a small sheep farm and mill in Canada, Long Way Homestead.

Baby hats for baby week. The Clayoquot Toque and the Barley, both patterns by Tin Can Knits. The Clayoquot was knit with yarn leftover from other projects and the Barley was made with Berroco Vintage. #showmeyourknits 🧶

I started with 2 balls of Schoppel Wolle Zauerball in the same colourway, and made a pair of socks for myself. I alternated balls for each stripe. I did the same thing for the child and made one extra because socks go missing (a dog that likes to steal) and I have enough left to darn holes.

I originally had two balls of the same colourway which I made socks for myself with, using the two balls at the same time. I continued for the toddler socks. It’s a German yarn, Schoppel Wolle Zauerball that has a super long repeat and is partly marled. I’ll start adding yarn info in alt!

Not quite baby knits, more like toddler knits. My granddaughter saw my socks and said “I want rainbow socks too!” So I knit her a pair and a spare. #showmeyourknits 🧶

Sooner or later another pandemic of some sort will come along. Canadians will vaccinate at our usual rate but Americans will not, because RFK will have convinced more people that vaccines are harmful, America will be behind in production, or Americans will not be educated through the CDC. 1/2

I just cast on a Musselburgh as well and started over for needle size. Mine is fingering weight with 12 round stripes in neutrals mostly with one pop of colour. It will be travel knitting.

He’s such an idiot. PM Trudeau is stepping down after 9 years. His party (Liberal) is holding an election to replace him and that person will be our PM until a general election is held. There is no power grab, stupid.
