These CA tomato pickers make 86¢ per bucket. The worker runs back to try and make as many buckets as they can. Because of the hot weather they often only work 4 to 5 hours a day, so every bucket counts towards paying their bills. #WeFeedYou

It's peak cherry picking season in WA. If workers work super fast they can make extra money during these 4 -6 weeks. "Leo" says he's earning $4.50/22 lb bucket. He's managing to pick 55-65 buckets/day. It's supposed to pass 100° next week. #WeFeedYou

CA farm workers: Temperatures are starting to heat up. The UFW wants to remind you that you have rights to water, rest breaks, and more. Please take care of yourself. Heat kills! #CALOR

When temperatures exceed 80 degrees, California employers must:

Establish one or more shade areas at a practical distance from the job site. There must be sufficient shade to cover all workers.

Provide fresh and clean water, which must be nearby to the worksite and accessible at all times.

Once temperatures reach 95 degrees, provide 10 minute breaks every 2 hours. Workers must be allowed to take 5 minute breaks at any point.

Central Valley sweet potato workers in are on a planting machine. The plants have to be precisely spaced apart as they are dropped into the pre-dug holes. It's very tedious work as workers can't even miss one hole. It's even harder when it's hot as there is no shade. #WeFeedYou
