JNR (Civ Modding) @jnr-modding.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Encouraging a Civ player to interact with various mechanics to emulate a real-world phenomenon organically is quite difficult. The temptation to just make a stacking yield bonus is real. But holy shit does it feel good when you push through and find a great idea for a systems-driven bonus. 110

I know exactly what I want for this haha 3516

JNR (Civ Modding) @jnr-modding.bsky.social · 22/06/2026This is unfortunately also how I've been feeling about browsing mods lately. The AI "aesthetic" is so off-putting, no matter the quality of what content is behind it. www.pcgamer.com/gaming-indus...pcgamer.comSpammy, AI-generated Steam capsule art is a pox, and it makes browsing less funAll the interesting Steam facts for the week ending June 22. 050

JNR (Civ Modding) @jnr-modding.bsky.social · 07/11/2025Modder brain is when you think about a game multiple times a day but actually *play* it just a month. But when I do, it's suddenly 7am again and I need to get ready for work without any sleep... Got what's maybe the most lovely scenery in started with in this game so far though: 140
JNR (Civ Modding) @jnr-modding.bsky.social · 24/08/2025Another Great People mod, this time bringing a high-cultured officer corps to Prussia. Thanks to everyone who helped me with research! JNR (Civ Modding) @jnr-modding.bsky.social · 18/08/2025Loved making this mod, and I am already deeply invested in adding some interesting events for each Tycoon for a 2.0 update. JNR (Civ Modding) @jnr-modding.bsky.social · 25/05/2025I have about 14 spreadsheets where I kept reinventing what became my 6T tech tree. The process itself helped me get through some rough days, lol. At least once a month I feel like writing down all world wonders and group them. It's so therapeutic I should start billing my health insurance for it. 130
JNR (Civ Modding) @jnr-modding.bsky.social · 24/03/2025Ok long ages setting makes it quite fun but is probably not that balanced. But who'd have thought that I'd end up warmongering in Civ... Really fun system this time around. I even enjoyed Exploration as a whole due to being able to focus more on my own continent as Songhai. 010
JNR (Civ Modding) @jnr-modding.bsky.social · 16/03/2025Turns out that when the game asks "which city?" and you say "the player", it gets mad. JNR (Civ Modding) @jnr-modding.bsky.social · 08/02/2025First two Civ VII mods in testing! One just fixes a bunch of errors among the Warehouse buildings.
