Congrats Jane on the global reach of In Control. By illuminating the 8-stage #homicide timeline, you provide a vital tool to help #women worldwide recognise how predictable the escalation of male violence can be. In Control will help women spot the danger early & may save many lives #MVAWG #femicide

Madeline Mc Aleer is discussing @jmoncktonsmith.bsky.social’s 8-stage domestic homicide timeline – how a predictable progressive pattern of coercively controlling behaviour can go from #HoneymoonToHomicide. It can happen quickly or take 40 years, and there may or may not be physical violence.

This is good news. Unbelievable that a stalker’s ID could be kept from the victim in the first place. However it doesn’t address the major issue of the police not investigating these crimes properly or at all.

This simple statement is an uncomfortable truth. The way victims and the bereaved families of victims are treated needs serious attention. I don’t mean using a ‘sympathetic tone’, I mean listening to them as if their testimony is real.
