Congrats! I am excited to read this next year, especially to see what you do with Black Sun.

Thanks for live posting here.

JMJ @jmj064.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

Well, this came back faster than I was expecting. I guess I have it and the Pitt S3 to watch at start of the year.

JMJ @jmj064.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

lol This comment earlier got my hopes up for an announcement of Omnibus Reprint of the run. (Well, I guess there is still chance of an announcement at Mad Cave panel on Sunday.)

Thanks for live-posting here.

Thanks for live-posting here.

Those people are brave than me. I would struggle to even work up to just say hi to you, if I went to big con like that. XD

Looking forward to set up my browser tomorrow to keep up with the news. *~excited~*

This looks promising so far. Looking forward to reading it next week.

Well, I am jealous about early copy of Jabba's Bounty graphic novel.

Looking forward to Claudia writing ANH era Luke and Han in this. I wonder if we will get Holdo cameo.

Considering this is Thrawn Alliances artist (Andrea Di Vito), I wonder if their Thrawn will still look like this.

Ooo... A DS9 graphic novel from Zahn is pretty tempting. I might have check this out next year.

I guess eventually this will be buyable from Mad Cave website since that end up happening with SDCC exclusive cover.

Nice to have at least something to look forward to next year (Even though, it does feel like we might have a bit of repeat of Shadow of Maul situation with this). Hopefully there will be more announcements from Marvel on Friday.

136) Star Wars: Star Pilots > A book that I was so excited for that I read it all in basically one day… So what did I think of it? It didn't give me everything that I was hoping for, but what it delivered was pretty great. I am glad Kempshall got the chance to do another one of these fun books.

Star Wars: Star Pilot - A History of Space Combat by Chris Kempshall
(DK In-Universe Reference Book - First Read)

135) Lanterns S1 > While I mostly enjoyed it, I feel like it didn’t really stick the landing for me. Still, I am curious to see where we will go from here.

Maybe I would have like some more interviews with certain book characters, but beyond that I was pretty satisfied with what we got. There are some characters introduced here that I wouldn't mind seeing again. It looks there also some fun Legends easter eggs.

Considering last book (Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire) took two years to get paperback (July 2024 to September 2026), you might be waiting awhile. But anyway, I thought it was pretty good. I think I might like it even more than Rise. Interviews were such good pairing with the main frame.

I had enough time before work to finish reading, so we are done with Star Pilots!!! 🎉

JMJ @jmj064.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Alright, I think I am going to have to admit defeat and go bed as I stayed up long than I probably should have. I'll save last 45 pages for after work. Night!

JMJ @jmj064.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I managed get through first 200 pages into Star Pilots before Lanterns finale, so I guess we will see if can get through remaining 100 or so pages before I have to go to bed (in two hours). (Probably not, but going to try anyway.)

This week's book... (I got this two days early. *~excited~* Tempted to start reading it now, even though I should get back to Edge of the Abyss.)

134) Thrawn (Manga) Vol 1 > It was nice getting a bit more scenes from original book. I wish the artist didn’t have this odd habit of making one of character’s eyes disappeared as that did annoy me a little. I also had some issues with following some of action scenes. Looking forward to Volume 2.

133) Futurama S13 > I actually watched this season after S14 as I didn’t realize I hadn’t watch it last year. XD I think I like this season more than S14. Not sure why. *~shrugs~*

Futurama Season 13 (TV Show - First Watch)

133) Futurama S14 > I ended up knocking this out yesterday. I meant to watch it as it released, but I kept forgetting (Mondays are not best time for shows for me). But anyway, I had a good time with it. I don’t know if this “finale” really lives up to previous ones, but I didn’t think it was bad.

Futurama Season 14 (TV Show - First Watch)

This week's comics (2)... (My local shop actually did get Indiana Jones books today, much to my surprise. No Thrawn manga though. They never get manga releases on time and with new publisher, I wouldn't be surprised if they just didn't get it at all.)

Argh... This spine difference is going drive me nuts when Path of Lightsaber Volume 2 comes out. They might just get me to double dip and buy reprint for Volume 1. XD

Star Wars: Thrawn: The Manga Volume 1 (Random House Worlds Manga)
Star Wars: Path of the Lightsaber Volume 1 (Viz Media Manga)
Star Wars: Guardians of the Whills: The Manga (Viz Media Manga)
Star Wars: Visions: Tsukumo (Viz Media Manga)

I had hope the pin would arrived before the con, but sadly luck wasn't in favor on that one. XD Oh, well, I been looking for excuse to order that design off Redbubble for awhile and I can always wear it at other cons (Much like I do with BrickFair VA badge). Still thinking ideas for stickers.

This week's stickers (and pin)... (The lead up to my Baltimore Comic Con trip made me a bit nostalgic for Bounty Hunters run, so I ended up ordering these off of @uncannyzuck.bsky.social Redbubble since I really liked his Zuckuss fan art during the run.)

Thanks!

And Aurra Sing is not in this comic!

I guess with delay, we can now consider this late 49th birthday gift for Jaxxon (Jaxxon debut on November 8, 1977). Also a Life Day gift (since special aired on November 17, 1978).

Alright, I think that will be it for today since I am kind of tired. Night!

Star Wars: Reign of the Empire - Edge of the Abyss Chapter 16 Thoughts (See Alt Text for Thoughts)

*** SPOILER WARNING ***

RIP Free People’s Library… It is a shame to see it decommission as it seems like they had pretty cool setup there.

Anto really needs to work on his sales pitch. Lol

Hopefully, we will see him reached out to his Neo-Separatist friends next, so we could learn a bit more about that group. I mean he can’t be only one in that group embarrassed by Fesat 4 and feeling like they do something big to be taken seriously.

Man, that birthday party going be trainwreck. XD

Looking forward to seeing Leia and Leida interact though.

*** SPOILER WARNING ***
(Galaxy of Heroes Related)

Ooo… Chemish might be falling for Fennro. Considering Fennro’s future, I wonder if that means Chemish might be convinced to go turncoat on ISB in this book (or maybe in next one).

Speaking of Fennro’s future, I can definitely see why he would join the Alliance in the future as he definitely seems more at home with them than a group like Saw’s.

Alright, jumping back into this today... (I would read some yesterday after my trip, but I didn't have any power at home due to the storm and I didn't want take notes on my phone.)

JMJ @jmj064.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

To be fair, I didn't introduce myself very well and it was my first time getting something autograph, so I didn't know proper etiquette. XD Nope, I am back in PA now (I-95 was fun in this storm and I was without power all day yesterday). Maybe next year.

JMJ @jmj064.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

I am kicking myself for not mentioning that you made Valance a favorite of mines, although I guess I save myself embarrassment of calling him Vance by accident (I am sure I didn't say Zuckuss right either). XD

JMJ @jmj064.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

And back from my trip, as tempted as I was bring more, I figured I shouldn't be greedy and just stick with these three favorites out of my collection. Thanks for signing them. Sorry for not being super talkative. bsky.app/profile/jmj0...

132) Avengers: Endgame – Encore > I originally was going to wait till the weekend, but I figured I would be tired from my day trip on Saturday, so I ended up doing it today. It is a shame that I didn’t get see all Doomsday teases though, but otherwise it was a fun rewatch of Infinity Stones finale.
