Sadly dems need enthusiasm to win. In 2020 I could say to my social network “guys, you know the stakes, vote to save democracy”. In 2024, had Biden stayed in, I couldn’t have stomached saying that openly. Not because I didn’t know the political calculus, but on a visceral level. Because of Gaza.
