I find the theory appealing too. But I'm going with the most likely thing--many Americans refuse to vote for a woman. Hence a lot of people who voted Biden in 2020 switched back to Trump in 2024.

I don't buy it. Sure Harris wasn't nearly as critical of Israel as she should have been but to suggest a conspiracy theory so vast as this is just cope. It's harder to admit that a *lot* of your fellow citizens voted for Trump. Including people who said they switched but in fact didn't.

Agree. If Trump hadn’t interfered, the US team could’ve used the questionable red card as a rallying point. Teams often do well when they are pushing back from adversity. Instead, he probably made them feel like they didn’t deserve to be there, which is never a good feeling going into a close game.
