The joke is yugioh/MTG or order phase games are very structured with phases and what you do (draw -> standby -> main -> battle -> post combat main -> end) whereas One Piece or Riftbound aka slop phase games are very unstructured by comparison (draw -> do stuff -> end turn)

Its a lil weird it feels like you can still do shortform by clipping the best parts of your longforms - it's not entirely "free labor" to just pull something out but it's potentially way to still have some toes dipped into shorts if thats what brands are looking for

You can say its a but of column A and a bit of column B, but the LGS I work at ran our prerelease at $35 and our max was Fri at 40 people (about half of our usual Fri attendance) - neither sat. event got over 20 (~1/3rd of usual), Sun. 2HG got like 15. Not sure if cost was the major issue.
