What's the point in wet tyres in F1 if they never use them?

Jakob Mathiszig-Lee @jm-l.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Goaded Real Madrid into maxing out their wage bill in the summer with vini then turned witness against city to get them relegated freeing up Arsenal to be the only viable option for Haaland in January. Mik Arteta you've done it again.

That dowman goal is absolutely disgoooosting. Slap a £1bn release clause on that kid asap

102 minutes that changed America is an absolutely extraordinary documentary, huge shame it's been ruined with the addition of interviews.

How did the ATC system die from little bobby tables in the year 2026?

Tough one. Arsenal through and through but really hasn't kicked on, I think a part of that though is how starved he was of balls once xhaka left. We've been terrible at selling though and if he isn't part of artetas plans it's sensible to cash in what we could.

100%. No way is he going to turn it on for us if he doesn't get the Barca move he's dreaming of and his stats in la liga aren't exactly glowing.

Jakob Mathiszig-Lee @jm-l.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

Yeah I never think a player trying to force a move is ever a good pickup. Especially if it's not to the club they wanted. I'm still curious if mudryk would have done better if he'd ended up at arsenal like he wanted.

The mayor's office should just seize Soho and take it away from Westminster council control at this point.

I'm desperate to see inside one of the BD Nexus pumps. Absolutely convinced they are made much cheaper than the previous generation, constantly get drive disconnected errors and a B&W screen in TYOOL 2026?

Number 7938 in the queue for IMAX tickets 😅. Not holding much hope but slim chance not all the bfi member seats have gone.

Imagine if he'd tried to get in the end of one of those crosses instead of falling over.

Still amazed that yamal dive was given as a penalty. No attempt to go for the ball and is going over well before the contact.

One of the downsides of stamp duty is it's impairment to people moving but it seems like these changes in value would be pretty immediate and in of itself impair mobility too if people's equity go negative and cheaper areas see sharp rises.

London picking up an even bigger share of the tax base certainly seems like a pretty stark outcome of a LVT though as someone London based I'd absolutely love stamp duty to go

Increasingly feel this french team is one of the all time great sides

Make this team fly home to Southend. Even Luton is too good for them.

Certainly not judging by last year's champions.

The years of constant gripes from tennis players about anti doping (with the most lax program in elite support) has me convinced it makes 90's cycling look like a local lawn bowls league.

So pleased this is finally being raised. Every time there's any kind of investigation into maternity care it's skirted round that midwifery not being postgraduate in this country is an outlier.

It's 21c, they're not stopping the game because they actually think the players need it.

It's criminal that the final isn't at the Azteca. A true cathedral of football.

I have absolutely zero concern for people that want to live in Soho but object to there being restaurants and bars there. It's been a hub for nightlife for as long as London has been a major city. Ignore them and just pedestrianise it permanently then give the area special license rules.

Increasingly common problem for me, non clinical staff switching meetings/scheduling stuff without asking because my outlook calendar shows as free. What do other people do? Don't particular just want to just block any DCC time as i can sometimes dip out but it's quite frustating

What a day. Not seen that many people outside of NHC and everyone was in an arsenal shirt. Fingers crossed it's a double parade next year.

010

Jakob Mathiszig-Lee @jm-l.bsky.social · 31/05/2026

Been for a cycle along the route. So many people out already, horns and chanting echoing round the area. Today is going to be massive.

000

Jakob Mathiszig-Lee @jm-l.bsky.social · 30/05/2026

That's it. This has been an incredible season. Can't wait to cheer them at the parade tomorrow

020

Jakob Mathiszig-Lee @jm-l.bsky.social · 30/05/2026

Wouldn't have won the league or got to the final without him. 5th penalty is ridiculous pressure. Anyone criticising Gabby can go fuck themselves #arsenal

010

Jakob Mathiszig-Lee @jm-l.bsky.social · 30/05/2026

Fair play Google. They've added the parade route with a map of public toilets to maps.

000

Jakob Mathiszig-Lee @jm-l.bsky.social · 28/05/2026

I would ignore most of the social media handwringing and just go with the flow. The whole area is going to be a party. Find a fun spot to enjoy the atmosphere and just be prepared to walk a bit to find a decent spot to hang out and soak it up. Loads of pubs and parks along the route.

Jakob Mathiszig-Lee @jm-l.bsky.social · 28/05/2026

They'll be on top of a double decker bus so there's no reason to force yourself to the front. You'll have just as good a view slightly further back, if not better.
